Craftsman 6.75 eager1 seeps oil at lower part of motor

THE SHOP MANUAL COVERS THIS. ON ALL CARS.

  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions section.
  2. Drain the engine oil.
  3. Remove or disconnect the following:
    • Negative battery cable
    • Oil dipstick tube
    • Front wheels
    • Front skidplate, if equipped
    • Steering gear
    • Front differential, if equipped, 4wd
    • Lower oil pan
    • Oil pickup tube bracket
    • Radiator outlet pipe
    • Upper oil pan and oil pickup tube

  1. Install a new O-ring to the lower crankcase.
  2. Apply a bead of silicone sealant to the upper oil pan flange.
  3. Install or connect the following:
    • New oil pump pickup tube O-ring seals
    • Upper oil pan and oil pump pickup tube and tighten the fasteners as shown
    • Radiator outlet pipe
    • Oil pickup tube bracket
    • Lower oil pan. Tighten the bolts to 97 inch lbs. (11 Nm).
    • Front differential, if equipped
    • Steering gear
    • Front skidplate, if equipped
    • Front wheels
    • Oil dipstick tube
    • Negative battery cable
  4. Fill the crankcase to the correct level.

Where is trans filter located

Hi,
The follwoing is from the GM Shop Technical Manual.
Changing the filter requires removing the transaxle oil pan and gasket,
Remove or disconnect

  • Raise vehicle and suitably support.
  • Loosen oil pan bolts and drain fluid,
  • Remove oil pan attaching bolts.
  • Remove pan pan and gasket.
  • Remove the oiil filter using a long screwdriver pry filter neck out of the seal.
  • Check oil filter seal for damage or wear. If needed, remove and replace
Install or connect
  • install new oil filter and/or seal.
  • install the old pan gasket since it can be reused, unless sealing ribs are damaged. If damaged, use new gasket.
  • Install the oil pan and attaching bolts.
  • Tighten pan bolts to 13 lb. ft,
  • Lower vehicle.
  • Refill transxle to proper level with DEXRON III or DEXRON-IIE fluid.
  • Checkoil pan gasket for leaks,

How to remove and install starter motor on 2000 malibu location of mounting bolts

REMOVAL & INSTALLATION 2.4L Engine
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable at the battery.
  2. Detach the air inlet duct from the throttle body.
  3. Position a drain pan under the oil filter, then remove the oil filter.
  4. Remove the top starter bolt.
  5. Raise and safely support the vehicle.
  6. Remove the lower starter retaining bolt.
  7. If necessary, position the engine wiring harness aside.
  8. Position the starter to enable access to the solenoid wiring, then detach the wiring.
  9. Remove the starter from the vehicle. To install:
  10. Raise the starter to the vehicle, then attach the wiring.
  11. Position the starter, then secure using the lower starter bolt. Tighten to 66 ft. lbs. (90 Nm). Fig. 1: When installing the starter on the 2.4L engine, tighten the mounting bolts to 66 ft. lbs. (90 Nm) 87952040.gif

  12. If moved, reposition the engine wiring harness.
  13. Attach the solenoid electrical connectors.
  14. Carefully lower the vehicle.
  15. Install the top starter bolt, then tighten to 66 ft. lbs. (90 Nm).
  16. Replace the oil filter.
  17. Fasten the air inlet duct to the throttle body.
  18. Connect the negative battery cable.
  19. Check the oil level and add if necessary.
  20. Start the engine, recheck the oil level and add if necessary.
3.1L Engine
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Raise and safely support the front of the vehicle securely on jackstands.
  3. Remove the lower closeout panel.
  4. Remove the electrical leads. Fig. 2: Two electrical leads connect to the starter solenoid. The larger one has battery power as long as the battery is connected. The smaller one only has power when the key is turned to START 93202p09.jpg

  5. Remove the starter motor to engine bolts, then remove the starter from the vehicle. To install:
  6. Install the starter. Position one engine-to-starter bolt in the lower bolt hole, then finger-start the bolt.
  7. Connect the electrical leads to the starter. Tighten the cable to the solenoid to 106 inch lbs. (12 Nm).
  8. Install the starter-to-engine bolts and tighten to 37 ft. lbs. (50 Nm)
  9. Install the lower closeout panel.
  10. Lower the vehicle.
  11. Connect the negative battery cable.

Mower is oozing oil from bottom of fill tube which has come loose.How do i get it situated back tightly where it belongs? Craftsman Eager1 6.75

Check to see if a small bolt is missing. thats usualy all there is holding them in place. I had that problem before.

did you turn the mower upside down then the oil filled up the oil filter take off the filter then it should start it has to breath it takes mor air then fuel to make a engine run

Go to parts www.searspartdirect.com and put in the model # and it will display all the parts that are supposed to be on the mower. Whatever you are missing just order from them.
