if you mean twisted gears? then this is a sure sign that gears have slipped in there relationship to one another , its called gear timing , all the gears have "timing "marks on them to show how they go to next gear so that every function moves in a proper fashion and doest hit something else , if gears are out of time something made this happen ? (too thick fabric, wrong oil, wrong grease, or heat ) makes these gears fail as does plain worn out as well

I understand that your Frigidaire dishwasher is displaying error code "S" and will not restart. The error code "S" usually stands for sanitize, this could also be a miscommunication within the control panel. rlindaur179,There are a couple possible issues. We will start with the easy ones first.
1. There is a round shape float on the inside floor of the dishwasher.On this mode I believe it is in the front left. please check to see this float moves easily up and down. If there is any build up it could getting stuck in the upright position this can cause a reset in the cycle. Clean the float shaft. Lift float and clean shaft (steel wool works well)2. Replace control board

hi Have you checked the drivers for this application ,is it showing the icon in your programs 1) Go to the Control Panel (Make sure it's on classic view)
2) Click on add hardware
3) Click next
4) Make sure the Recommended choice is chosen
Wait for it to search for new hardware...
5) Click next
6) Double-Click on 'Show all devices'
Wait for it to get the list of all of the devices... this may take some time... I mean a lot of time...
7) Choose the manufacturer on the left hand side and choose the model on the right
8) Press next to start installing
Wait for it to install... This may take some time... or a lot of time... again... but more...
9) Press Finish

Disconnect power for 60 seconds.
Re-connect power.
Press the Cancel button.
Press the regular wash cycle and start the dw.
