How to turn hibernating off

It may be stuck in hibernation. Just press and hold the power button for 8 seconds until it shuts down all the way. Power it back on and you should be good

Turn off hibernation. If its not resuming from hibernation without rebooting then is very possible it may stop loading even after a reboot.The fact that you have to reboot it to be released from hibernation could indicate a failing hard drive.

when your computer boots up press F8 after the boot screen, its easy to miss the short period you can press this. This should prompt a screen which allows you to choose how to boot windows. Booting windows normally (without restoring hibernation state) or in your last good configuration that worked (it saves restore points pretty much every day your on it and will revert to that restore point) will be your best bets. i read your report. OK go to your power options and turn off your hibernate and restart your computer.allot of times after you have reformatted your hard driver. the hibernation doesn't work correctly. Try this tip and let me know how it goes. Thank you for writing to fix ya.

well go to your power setting by clicking on the battery by the clock and then say power options to change those setting such as Hibernating sleep ect... you can also get to this by going to you control panel then power options hope this helps

Turn off vista hybrid sleep and hibernation mode. It causes more problems then it helps.

Try some antivirus

Try briefly pressing the power button to wake the laptop. Just press and release it.
