How do I take out the filter?

You will have to isolate the water and electrical supply first, then remove the rear of the machine. At the base of the drum you will find the waste hose. Undo the hose (be prepared for the water coming out) and check to see what is causing the ball to stick in therefore hose. Remove the offending items and refit the drain hose. You should then be good to go.

Want to take water hose off from back of the machine so I can feed it down the holes in the cupboard then put it back on can this be done easly or do I have to cut a big hole in the cupboard. cheers

Hi there Larry which hose are you refering to the inlet or the waste. You can take the inlet hose of very easily, However the waste pipe is conected to the waste pump inside the machine. If this is the pipe you wish to remove I would drill a bigger hole in the cupboard. let me know if this helps at all. Regards Gary.

My washing machine LG WD1238C keeps showing error message OE hose is not blocked or filter blocked does not finish any cycle or work correctly

This sounds like a blockage in the small hose connected to the waste pump. Take the lid off and find the waste pump down near the bottom of the machine below the drum, then remove any one of the hoses connected to the waste pump and check inside the pump to make sure the fan can spin using your fingures, maybe a small kids sock or similar jammed in there, if nothing in the pump check both pipes on the waste pump

Maytag PAV2300AWW Washer makes grinding sound when agitating

Sounds like it is the bearing on the water pump. Take off back plate and replace and remove 3 screws and two hoses (the one hose is a waste line so make sure you have a bucket to empty our waste water) after removing these remove belt on bottom of pump.

My washing machine works went it wants to its not drawing water ive cleaned the filter but dont know what else to do,

99 out of 100 washers tend not to drain water out due to blockage inside either waste water pipe (also called waste hose, drain hose and etc.) or circulation hose (the one between pump and drum). To check this lay the machine down on one of the side walls, remove the back cover (2 or 4 screws), disconnect hoses from the pump and ensure all blockages are cleaned away, all coins, small socks and other stuff is removed. Also you might want to clean the pump itself as at this point you're more than half-way through.
1 out of 100 drain malfunctions appear due to pump motor or the main PWB, but I bet that you won't need to replace neither of those.

Please let me know if there's something more I can help you with

Good luck

Draining water from a dishwasher in preparation for a house removal

Best thing is to disconnect all the hoses and ensure that the waste hose is kept high. Put the machine on a couple of chairs and let the machine empty into a bucket thru the hose. Quite a lot of water inside. Tie up the hoses and lead at the top back of the machine.
Happy moving.

Don't listen to Solution #1, it is simply NOT correct. This is the correct answer:

As you stated, you already know where the water hose connection is. It is under the easily visible port cover on the top of the base.

What is NOT easily visible is the connection for the vacuum hose. That's because the machine needs to be "reconfigured" before the hose can be attached. To "reconfigure" the machine:
1) Remove the cover off the waste water tank and notice how things appear--it will soon be important.
2) Find and remove the "panel" on the front of the waste water tank by sliding it straight up and out.
3) Replace the panel with the connector by sliding it straight down. When finished the top should look something like it did in step 1). This assures that the dirty water will be vacuumed into the waste water tank.

Drum filling up with water

There are 2 possible problems here. 1. If your waste pipe is connect under the sink and uses the sinks waste as a drain it could be that water from the sink (or dishwasher if also fitted) is entering the machine via the waste. This can be cured by ensuring that the washing machine waste hose is hooked up higher than the connection under the sink. 2. It could be that the washing machine inlet valve need replacing. After time, or if bits of dirt enter them they can let water seep through. This is easily identified by turning off the water supply where the hoses are connected to. If the machine fills up then you know it is entering via the waste hose - if it doesn't then you know its one of the valves. If it is a valve they are available from us at
