the most common problem is restricted or no air flow from the freezer compartment.
when the unit is in the cooling mode then open the freezer door and listen for the evaporator fan if it not running then you need to replace it.
If you here it running look for and excess ice build up on the back wall the evaporator may be frozen over indicating a defrost issue. the thermastat control for the fridge side only may need to be change or the defrost timer or sensor may need to be change.you can use a blow dryer and defrost the freezer compartment thourghly and see if the fridge gets cold.you may also need to check the damper motor in the fridge to see if it is opening or closing properly.this is usually located in the top left side of the fridge and the way to check it is to turn the unit off then back on and listen for the motor to open or close the damper.

Is there ice build-up in the back of the freezer? If so take the panel off the back of the freezer section inside the freezer and replace the heating element.
