If the frost build up is on the back panel of the freezer then it has a defrost problem which causes a no cool situation. Let me know more about this frost buildup and what you have done.

SOURCE: Freezer seems as if it is not cold enough

Your sensor is packed in ice and giving false reading (always frozen)

You NEED to defrost. Will take 2hr

Turn off or Pull plug on freezer
Take everything out and put in cooler, brown bags, large bin or boxes to stay cold
Defrost by setting large pail of boiling water in each side bottom of freezer and closing door(s) for 1/2hr
Open freezer, empty pails in sink and use pails to hold large chunks of ice from freezer that will come out easily
Toss out ice chunks
Check sensor to be sure it is no longer packed in ice
Wipe down interior dry
close doors
plug in
wait 1/2hr
reload with stuff you want to keep
Done!

SOURCE: GE GSS25WGMCC, Ice Forming On Freezer Interior Surfaces

i had the same problem and i replaced the defrost heater and it worked fine for about one month but now having the same issue. Most of the time from what I have heard it is the defrost heater (about $60 part). I might have another issue going on with mine like a defrost thermostat. Your defrost heater is right under the panel on the inside of the freezer section. remove white panel on back side of freezer section and remove two screws and two wires and replace it and you should be fine.

Minus 20' Celsius is too cold. Change it to -18'C. Also check that the door gasket is in good condition and sealing well.

Here is the manual if you need it. Troubleshooting is at the end is not particularly good. Page 9 suggests that the Warning icon is the triangle with exclamation mark (!), is that the one that is flashing? Other icons flashing is indicating Fast Freeze Mode.

Make sure the condenser coils at the back are clear.

My Blomberg freezer seems to be running almost continuously

Can be 2 things. If its over freezing, its likely the thermostat has jammed closed and continually causing the compressor to keep running. This will make the freezer get too cold and over freeze. If its not icing up and not getting cold, I would say its lost its gas charge. The compressor is continually running, trying to get down to temperature.

The temp says 14 and 8 but should be -21 and 3? Can anyone help

Controlling the Freezer temperature
The freezer temperature can be set between -14°C (8°F) and -25?C (-14°F) to suit your particular needs. Press the freezer button repeatedly until the desired temperature is shown in the temperature display. Keep in mind that foods like ice cream may melt at -16?C (4°F). The temperature display will move sequentially from -14°C (8°F) and -25?C (-14°F). When the display reaches -14?C (8°F), it will begin again at -25?C (-14°F). Five seconds after the new temperature is set the display will again show the actual current
freezer temperature. However, this number will change as the Freezer adjusts to the new temperature. The top and bottom guards in the freezer of this model are the two star sections, so the
temperature in two star sections are slightly higher than other freezer compartment.

Controlling the Fridge temperature
The refrigerator temperature can be set between 7?C (45°F) and 1?C (34°F) to suit your particular needs. Press the fridge button repeatedly until the desired temperature is shown in the
temperature display. The temperature control process for the Fridge works just like the Freezer process. Press the fridge button to set your desired temperature. After a few seconds, the Fridge will
begin tracking towards the newly set temperature. This will be reflected in the digital display. The temperature of the freezer or the refrigerator may rise from opening the doors too frequently, or if a large amount of warm or hot food is placed in either side. This may cause the digital display to blink. Once the freezer and refrigerator return to their normal set temperatures the blinking will stop.
If the blinking continues, you may need to "reset" the refrigerator. Try unplugging the appliance, wait about 10 minutes and then plug back in.

The refrigerator does not work at all or it does not chill sufficiently.
• Check that the power plug is properly connected.
• Is the temperature control on the display panel set to the correct
temperature? Try setting it to a lower temperature.
• Is the refrigerator in direct sunlight or located too near a heat source?
• Is the back of the refrigerator too close to the wall and therefore keeping air from circulating?

It is a french door, items in the fridge part are freezing, what should temperature in freezer and fridge be?

The factory presets your temperatures to the MID / MID setting of 0? for the freezer and 37? for the refrigerator. Refrigerator adjustment range is -15? to +15? in the freezer and 33? to 47? in the refrigerator. Depending on ambient temperatures the temperatures will be + or - 6? the set point. Whenever you make a temperature adjustment, you need to wait 24 hours to notice any temperature difference.

To adjust your temperatures: Adjust controls according to your Use and Care guide. Start out by making sure your settings are at the factory setting of MID / MID. Make only one adjustment: Adjust one control and wait 24 hours before making another adjustment.

To measure temperatures: If you try to measure temperatures, it is important to follow these directions: Fresh Food Section: Put thermometer in a glass of water. Check the temperature during the first door opening after a long (8+hours) non-usage period (such as overnight or when you arrive home from work). Frozen Food Section: Put thermometer between two bags of vegetables. Check the temperature during the first door opening after a long (8+hours) non-usage period (such as overnight or when you arrive home from work).

Handling and moving

Good day,
Should not be done. First off you should be sure it is performing properly both in temperature and cycling before accepting it.

Layed on it's side is a **** shoot. But if your stuck, drive only smooth roads slowly, and upon arrival carefully upright it and let it set 48 hours to allow the oil to return to the compressor.
If step one works out, renting a truck, if the distance is short, is best.

Only one temperature control??

Good day,
Yes, they are made. The temperature in the fresh compartment will be no issue, since you have control in that compartment.
The engineers designed the balance between the two compartments so the freezer would be normal if the following conditions applied.
1. The room temperature is between 70 and 90 degrees.
2. The machine has normal usage. I.E. 8 to 20 door openings of the fresh food door.
The freezer would start getting warmer if the room temperature dropped much below 70 degrees. or..
If the machine had extremely light usage with very few
door openings, or a combination of both situations described above.

With dual controls, and both set at normal, the above conditions would occur anyway, except you could over ride the normal settings to compensate.

Many people have this setup, and experience little trouble, but without knowing your life style replacing it would be your choice based on the facts given.
