I would recommend calling Baby Jogger's customer service at 1-800-241-1848. They should be able to help you with a warranty claim, since you just purchased your stroller.

You need to release the lever (push it down) then hold it with one hand and then unscrew the nut the other side. Then it just drops off.

I had the same problem with front wheel wobble, the fix for me was easy. I removed the four screws holding the foot rest in place and tightened the bolt holding the front wheel on, to tight and the wheel won't turn so leave the foot rest off and try it out until you get the the right amount of tension.
