Toshiba 50h81 turned off and now nothing

I was watching a movie last night and the TV just turned off. I tried to turn it back on with the remote and at the TV but nothing. The LED will not turn on. I did check my fuse (it was good). I looked at the transformers and there are no burn marks on them and nothing noticeable on the circuit board (I'm and ex-computer tech so I have some idea what to look for)

Did you check the supply fuses to the convergence ICs? Did you check the output resistors?
if all ok i would replace the convergence ic's

Most DVD players are connected to one of the rear audio/video inputs--hook to that input and select it on the TV--then hit play and if connected correctly you will see the movie.

Unplug TV set from the outlet, wait 30 seconds, plug it back in, select right input with your remote if you using cable box or Punch the channel that you want to watch if you have cable service connected directly to the TV.

PS3 console will not turn on either manually or by remote. Yes, it's plugged in. It's on the same power strip as the TV and it's on. We watched a movie last night and I turned it off with the remote.

what is exactly doing that it has the red light on ??
or when you try to turn the unit it turns right back off with a blinking red light ??

This is a scene from some horror movie. I bet , if you unplug it, the TV will still be on!!....Just messing with you. Its been several days since you posted this problem. Please post update if there is any change. I don't think you have the TV on all this time. Let us know

try to use an Audio-Video(AV) cable(it has two or three wires,ask for it at the electrics shop),and push the button AV on your remote control.

Did you check the supply fuses to the convergence ICs? Did you check the output resistors
then i would start by replace the convergence ic first.
