SOURCE: I cant view DivX Film Subtitle in Sony DVP-NS67P home DVD player

Hi Ramink..

Try the program Sub2Divx (I have the same DVD sony dvp-ns67p worked properly). It takes just 2 minutes to put the subtitle in divx and is not fixed, only appears when tight subtitle on the remote control. I have a link to a tutorial but it is in Portuguese. DivX certified player cannot read DivX files on DVD+R

Is there a Divx logo on the player? Does this particular DVD player capable of reading DVD+R disks?

If you used the Divx converter program, there is a way to create a DVD in Divx format with menus. Did you use that particular program? If you didn't, you may have the DVD in a data format and the player can't read it that way.

How i can view divx whit subtitles (.srt, .sub.ssa)?

Look for firmware upgrades in Samsung's website.

You have to download a set of files, burn them on to a CD or DVD (check the help file in the download) and then insert the CD or DVD to your DVD Player and follow the on-screen instructions. It is really simple, just make sure you download the correct upgrade from the website. And one advice, use a RW DVD or RW CD because you may have to try it many times ;) .

Divx greek subtitles

look in the menu and try to change the encoding, There should be 3 options, Unicode, Cyrilic & Greek. Select greek if the .sub or .srt file is in ANSI encoding, or select Unicode if the file is in UTF-8 or Unicode encoding.

To find out the encoding of an .srt file the simpliest thing to do is open them with notepad and got to "File" -> "Save as", The encoding should appear in the bottom of the dialog.
