Why does the screen on my zte majesty gradually turn a transparent gray

Sounds like a power stand by feature. Try entering the settings of the device and inspecting its current power save feature. You will likely need to adjust it to start power saving at a longer period or turn the feature off all together. I'm not completely familiar with that device but that sounds like the problem.

  1. Right click on the program's shortcut, .exe file, or installation program.

  2. Click on Properties.

  3. Click on the Compatibility tab.
NOTE: If the Compatiblity options are grayed out, then it is a 64 bit program and cannot be changed.

  4. Check the Run this program in compatibility mode for box.

    • Click on the drop down menu arrow and select which version of Windows the program was made for.

  5. To Change All of These Settings Above for All Users

When i startup windows xp.. it says error loading nview.dll.. the bar has only one option ok..the window disappears.. if i click it i can continue the work . else also i can continue but th window...

nview.dll is part of an NVIDIA graphics card running nView Desktop and Window Manager. I would suggest going to nvidia.com and download the latest driver for your card and save it to the desktop, then uninstall the drivers for the graphics card in control panel then add/remove programs.Once it's uninstalled, reboot and when windows comes back up, start the installation for the drivers you saved to the desktop and after it's done, reboot again and the problem should be fixed. IF you don't know your model for the graphics card, you can click Start, Right Click on My Computer and Left click on Properties. Click the Hardware Tab and then click the Device Manager button. In the list, hit the plus to the left of "Display Adapters" and it will tell you the model there. Hope that helps.

Cheers!

Hi, I have a Macbook running Tiger 10.4.11. I have yet to figure out a way to print in black and white from safari. HELP!

When you go to print (apple/p) and the dialog box comes up (lists printer, presets, copies, etc)
There should be a gray horizontal line across the middle of this dialog box. Note the drop down box that is on this gray line ... this is an important drop down box. When you select different items in this box, all the options underneath the gray line change.
The selection in this box is probably "Layout" by default. Change it to look at the different options, but as things change below the gray line don't get confused about which is the "main" selector drop down for changing all the options .. it's the one on the gray line ....
I'm using an HP printer, and when I select "Paper Type/Quality" in this drop down, I get an option under the gray line that says "color" -- the options in that box include the option for "Grayscale"
If I were to select Grayscale, then the printer will print only in black and white and shades of gray.
That's the easiest way to do what you want, and it will apply to any program you are printing from, since you are selecting "Grayscale" from the print dialog.

Look through all the different variables in the print dialog to become familiar with them.
If you often use one particular setting and don't want to have to go through the sometimes confusing search through the drop downs, since they change back to their defaults each time you print, then you can set a "Preset" - this will remember your settings and allow you to get to them easily ...
To do this, first select all the options the way you like them, for example you might select Grayscale under the Color option under the Print Quality section. Then, before you actually print anything, go the the top where it says "Presets" and do a "Save As" and choose a Preset name that will be meaningful to you ... like "grayscale" -
Next time you print, keep an eye on the preset - it may NOT go back to the default of "Standard." It may stay on the last-used Preset ... so keep an eye on it before hitting the print button.

Hope this helps!

Every time I open winfax pro10. it changes my desktop display, it maximizes the Icons

This happens if you have an NVIDIA NView setup. You might need to add wfxmod32 , wfxctl32 to your NVIDIA application settings to disable all NView functionality for these programs.

WinFax Tools has many fixes for WinFax that are automated.

Lines on a photo when printed

The print quality usually depends on the program you're using to print them on your pc.
Your camera only ever sends photos to your printer, so the best settings are already selected by the camera and it's built-in photo program.
Your printer doesn't 'know' whether your printing a document or a photo, so the settings for each program on your computer are basic (known as default settings), and need to be changed by you to get the best from your printer
Find the settings that let you alter the printers options (in Word, it's FILE \ PRINT \ PROPERTIES), and make sure the printer output is set to maximum quality, and that photo paper is selected as the paper type.
Some options such as 'maximum quality' only appear when you've chosen 'photo paper', and some printers (such as the ip4300) have seperate options for gloss or matte paper, so go through all of them until you see what you need.

Hope that helps :)
