SOURCE: Fi-6130 scanner displays J1 paper jam after

Hi,

Does the message shows after few pages scanning or is there any panel error message like J-1 on scanner start up?

If the issue occurs during scanner start up, then there are staple pins or dirt might be stuck inside the US Sensor panel inside the scanner. Cleaning and removing the objects will resolve the issue.

If the error occurs after few pages scanning, then you may have to check the Pick Roller, Brake Roller, Pinch Roller and US Sensor FX status. you may have to replace any of the above, if damaged or worn off.

Hope the above information is helpful.

Please check your device first and get back to me.

Thank you.

I have a blown adf motor fuse

Any idea how that might have have happened? I ask because the same problem could occur again and again and again. And also are you sure it's the fuse and not the motor itself? Also you haven't asked what you need, you only stated the problem.

Replace a lamp on a photocopier

Hello, the C5 code will only show up after the C7 code -- Fuser temp. to low. First put a meter on the Thermal fuse and the Thermistor and see if it is blown. The fuse and thermistor are under the black ( usually) fuser cover which runs the lenght of the fuser. If the fuse and /or thermistor are blown, replace. The lamp will not come on if the fuse or thermistor are blown. If the fuse and thermistor are good then take the end cap off of the fuser ( usually 1 screw) and disconnect the brass (usually) from the lamp. Check the lamp ( continuity), is the lamp okay. If not replace the lamp. If all of these are good then check the Solid state relay unit ( usually in the lower right hand side looking at the back of the machine with cover off). If the relay is good then you have to replace the PWB-A, the main board.
