Try to open all parts of your printer and back to close and try to use. or uninstall the printer driver by using ad and remove program. and din install it again make sure all parts of your printer 100persent close

The tab may be broken off that presses a switch when the cover is closed. If that's the case you may need a shop to replace the cover. Look on the underside of the cover for any evidence of broken plastic, Let me know and I can get a part number for the lid or switch.
5C00 says that the purge unit is not cycling properly. It's the cleaning unit where the printhead parks. If you can't see something caught in there, it's probably a shop repair...
If you open up where you put the ink in, there are rollers that feed the paper in/out of the machine. These may be covered in ink, so just clean them off with an alchahol wipe.
