Your an idiot.

It's called sleep mode, just open it up again, genius.

I had that problem with my table saw. The gears for the angle adjustment had become jammed with saw dust and they would not function properly until I dug out all of the crud so they could be turned. You might try that remedy. Good luck.

dwell angle is the no of degrees rotation between points closed and points open and for example on a 4 cylinder engine ( 4 lobes =90 degrees the dwell would be around 45 degrees available

there is an adverse relationship between point gap and dwell angle

the closer the points the bigger the dwell and conversely the bigger the gap the smaller the dwell angle

in a distributor the point gap of 18 would have a large dwell angle and that affects ignition timing

in your workshop manual there will be a dwell angle specification and if you set the points at .020 " that will put you close to the dwell angle specification

from there you adjust the gap to obtain the dwell setting

after yo have the dwell set , adjust the ignition timing

there is plenty of information on dwell angle, /point gap if you type in ---dwell angle to point gap relationship--

Since the two adjacent angles of a parallelogram must add to 180 degrees, the two angles have to be 45 and 135 degrees respectively.

To avoid errors make sure that the angle unit is THE ONE
required by your problem. To verify or to change the angle unit press
[SIFT][MODE] and select [3: Deg] for degrees, [4:Rad] for radians, or
[5:Grad] for grads.

When My Pioneer did that a close inspection found a wire edge on the top rear and bottom front rails of the bar. A flat file used at 45° to the rail removed it. The bar once again cuts true. The only other likely possibility is the chain is sharpened at different angles. HTH

There are a few things that could have happened, the most likely that one of you cable clips is loose, and when you open it fully, it pulls it out just enough so that the connection is lost.

Your going to need to open your DS, (the forms at www.powergamingparts.com are the best forms to find these instructions) then just disable your clip, and reinsert it, and then close the clip, and put you DS back together. Just ask if you need any additional help.

the cross needs to be drawn at an angle. start at the pin on the far left 3rd from the top and take the line to the top row 3rd one in. Take it down at a 45 degree angle one pin and then back up at a 45degree angle to the 3rd pin from the top left (in a V shape) then take the line (you should be 3rd pin from left on the top row) take it to the 3rd pin down on the left and repeat the V indentation, repeat around the pins and you are there....

might try

(54tan)/45

I don't have a calc that will do it or I would try it and see.

I had a similar challenge with my D, the difference being it back focussed, it only happened with one lens, my FA* 24/2.0. Strangely, after returning them both to Pentax, it turned out to be the body, not the lens, which was kind of bizarre!
Eventually after 3 months of backwards and forwards with the body, Pentax replaced it with a new one. Everything is now fine (apart from 1 hot pixel, which I can cope with).
I pursued the matter with politeness and accepted the delays, the staff at Pentax UK were MOST helpful, but tied by company rules that the repairs had to go back to Germany each time, which added probably 80% to the delays.
I ran with film in my MZ-S and digital on my Fuji 602 (backup digicam) while it was being sorted. I must admit I'm considering adding another body, but will probably wait until the year Pentax decide to bring the out D replacement.
