The Bobbin holder won't go in or work right

  • matty_w Oct 07, 2014

While while I wouldn't know offhand, you can access the manual online that will tell you. chances are, that's the reason that it won't work right.. Here's the linkhttp://www.manualslib.com/manual/364686/...

I"m assuming that you are asking how to reinsert the bobbin case, rather than the bobbin itself. If you don't have your user's manual, you can download it free at the Singer website. When you do, look on page 19; it has exact directions and an illustration there regarding how to reinsert the bobbin case.

SOURCE: Problem with winding thread onto

first you must make sure the winder shaft is turning by moving it to the right a little and see if you can turn it by hand.
If it is turning ok then there is a rubber ring on the other end of the winder shaft and it should come in contact with the drive which turnes it ,if it is worn it might need a new rubber.

SOURCE: Singer Sewing Machine model 9224. Bobbin thread

If you turn the handwheel, can you see a metal ring rotating around the outer edge of the bobbin case? If not rotating, broken gear or timing belt off.
If that ring is turning, remove the needle plate and bobbin case. As this ring now rotates, you will a finger on the ring that will pass behind the needle from right to left and it should catch the thread from the eye of the needle. If this finger, the "hook" passes above the eye, you have a timing problem.

Let me know.

SOURCE: I have a Singer inspiration and am having the

"Birdnesting" occurs when there is no tension on the needle thread to pull the bobbin thread. This is easily corrected by rethreading the machine, following the threading path carefully and making sure the thread is fully engaged in the tension mechanism.

Where can I get a bobbin case for my Singer Tiny Taylor m100a?

Singer sewing machines usually use common parts that is interchangeable between different models. You need to remove the case and show it to the sewing machine parts seller. They would be able to find a similar unit.

Check your owners manual for the part number. That would be helpful if you want to buy online. Just search using the part number.

Singer 8280 (prelude) I had 2 threads coming out from my bobbin area, so I decided to open it up and take a look. I accidentally took out the whole bobbin shuttle. The manual doesn't tell me how to...

Ok, hang on! This can get tricky! Remove the bobbin. Remove the presser foot and the needle. Remove the throat plate. This gives you plenty of room to monkey with your bobbin case. NOW, lay the bobbin case in its correct area and gently rotate it until it falls into place. It may take several tries. Once you're satisfied that it's secure, snap the holding clips into place and it should all fit nicely. THEN place your bobbin in the case correctly...check the diagram in the manual. Depending on the machine, some bobbins have the threads coming off counterclockwise and others have them coming off clockwise, but your manual should show. Sometimes, there's even a diagram on the throat plate or the bobbin case as well.
Good luck. Hope this works. If this solves your problem, please come back and rate my answer!

Where can I gt a singer magic taylor shuttle and bobbin

Bobbins you can find with sewing notions - check the manual for the machine so you get the correct size and composition - some machines use plastic and some use metal.

You will need to purchase a new shuttle from a Singer Dealer, or you can try http://www.sewingmachineplus.com

Singer/merritt 2430 bobbin fill

If you lift up the thread holder, the bobbin holder is inside. Loosen the hand guide to stop the needle from going up and down. Pull the thread around the top thread guide and back into the bobbin holder. Thread the bobbin and move the bobbin over so the guage is "inside" the bobbin. As for the manual, the Singer Merritt 2404 is applicable to the 2430 if that helps.
