What is a receiver for a wireless keyboard?

Hello.

A receiver is a small usb stick included with your wireless keyboard and mouse. It receives the wireless signal from your mouse and keyboard and send it to your computer.

Sometimes it looks like a usb flash drive or a plastic thing with a usb cable to plug in your computer.

Hope it helps!

My optical mouse is working but not my keyboard

If all of the keys on your keyboard is not responding, then there's no connection between the keyboard and the wireless receiver.

1. Change the battery of the keyboard.
2. Make sure that the keyboard is ON.
3. Try connecting the wireless receiver into other USB ports of the computer. If same problem occurs...
4. Connect the wireless receiver into another computer to make sure that the problem is the keyboard and not the USB ports of the computer.

Otherwise, you may contact the manufacturer of the keyboard to verify if there's an additional driver that you need to install or if the keyboard needs repair.

Have a great day!

Wireless keyboard and mouse not working, battery in receiver?

The receiver should not have a battery. It gets its power from the USB port. Try uninstalling both keyboard and mouse via (Control Panel...Device Manager) and reinstalling them. Sometimes the drivers get corrupted and reinstalling them will fix that. Also there are on/off switches on the mouse and maybe the keyboard. Check that someone hasn't turned them off to save batteries when not in use.

How do you install dell wireless mouse and wireless keyboard?

Hi,
You should have got a install CD with the wireless keyboard and mouse, just pop the disk in the drive, run it and install the drivers, then connect the receiver to a USB port and let the system install the drivers, to connect them and make them work look for a small button under the keyboard and mouse and press them to connect.

Good luck

Explain wireless keyboard wireless mouse

You just plug the usb adapter for the wireless keyboard and mouse into the computer and run the install disk. Wireless just means that the device sends signals to the recieving devices.
