Question about D-Link RangeBooster G DPR-1260 (DPR1260) Print Server

DPR-1260 and the iMac

I had my print-server (with a Samsung CLP-510) hooked up both to my wife's iMac and my PC, even though D-Link doesn't support the Mac. Something happened on the Mac to make the connection stop working. It still works fine on the PC.

The iMac sends the print, but nothing prints. I think it is being sent to a non-existant print queue on the DPR-1260, but there doesn't seem to be a way to configure the print queue on the iMac.

Does anyone have this working?

Windows 7 compatibility forthe DPR 1260

My DPR-1260 arrived yesterday and I set it up easily in minutes on both Windows 7 (32-bit Pro) and XP SP3 with 3 printers attached. So far I have only tried wired connection. Wi-fi may be more problematical.
Printers are Brother HL-2040, HL-2140 and Samsung CLP-300. Could not get it to recognize my Canon Lide 25 scanner

When trying to set up Samsung CLP 310 I cannot get the software loaded. Sony notebook VGN SR220J. Server works fine from 2 network connected PC's I've tried it from the disc and the loaction on the HD.

download latest drivers and install with printer unplugged...it will install software to c:\program files\samsung\ and then 2 more folders in you will get the drivers folder - add printer and just do have disk and browse to that folder.

DLink DPR 1260 lost connection

Are the small printer icons lit up on the face of the PServer? Mine has recently started losing connectivity and simply unplugging the power and plugging it back in restores full function. Still looking for the reason it just started doing it though..

Dpr-1260 onkly works when connected by ethernet cable

dpr-1260 searching for ap and connected keeps changing back and forth when I refresh. On dpr-1260 if status of wireless keeps changing from searching and connected, change wireless to WPA, instead of WPA2. even if you have WPA2 setup (as I did), if you choose WPA it will stay connected.

DPR-1260 with Epson CX6600 & Dymo Duo

The DPR-1260 is pretty easy to configure and works well with my HP Laser 1012, HP Photosmart 8250, and HP OfficeJet 5610. The Operating System on the computer is what matters... as long as it's running Windows XP, Vista, or a server edition like Win2003, you should be fine. I can't speak to the Mac environment, as I don't have any experience there. As for the Dymo Duo, I can't tell you how well it'll work in this environment, but based on my experience with it and many other print servers that I've tried, I can't think of a better configuration to try. Personally, I would recommend the DPR-1260 to anyone... just make sure you follow the installation instructions in the users manual carefully, and you can't go wrong. I love mine, hopefully you'll enjoy yours as well.
