"Gclanton" had it right.
I had the same problem today. I ended up taking a piece of paper and from the back side started lightly forcing the paper in the back slot. I had the top cover open where you replace the ink cartridges. Towards the back you can see the paper start coming into the printer next to some rollers. On mine there was a small black switch about an inch from the right in the middle of the plastic piece above the rollers. Once I started pushing this paper in I could see this switch was stuck in the down position. After several minutes of pushing the paper in and out the switch moved up and out of the paper path. I then pulled out the paper and hit the ok button and it came on line. This may work better with a piece of card stock.
That switch is the issue. I ended up finding an object lodged against the switch. Needed a flashlight, plastic giftcard and a tweezers to get it out. Works great now.

I had the same problem and found a small coin in the back feeder. Remove the back coverplate and tip the machine onto its back and give it a good shake. You might be surprised at what falls out.

There are pieces of paper stock on the sensor, when the paper jam happened then you pull out the paper did you get the whole page of the paper or have missing pieces? open the paper guide, turn off and on the printer and observe the unusual objects in the roller, this error is caused by objects in the sensor.

Hello there
You may not see a paper jam.
This may work for you, it has worked for many here I given this advice so gave it a try it could work for you.
Generally when this happens, something has fallen into the printer, or a piece of paper has been jammed in there.
First step, remove the ink cartridge, and turn the printer upside down and gently shake it, see if anything comes out.
If nothing goes, or you can't hear anything rattling around, get a piece of cardstock paper (60lb or heavier) and gently push this through the printer, to see if it will help push out what might be stuck in there.
And gave the rode that the ink slides on a good clean and maybe a bit oil on cloth and wipe the rod with it.
Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.

If the Paper Feed Roller is dirty or paper powder is attached to it, paper may not be fed properly.
In this case, clean the Paper Feed Roller. Cleaning will wear out the Paper Feed Roller, so perform this only when necessary.
You need to prepare: three sheets of A4 or Letter-sized plain paper
1.Make sure that the power is turned on, and remove any paper from the Rear Tray.
2.Open the Paper Output Tray gently, and open the Output Tray Extension.
3.Clean the Paper Feed Roller without paper.
(1) Press the (Maintenance) button repeatedly until b appears.
(2) Press the Black or Color button.
The Paper Feed Roller will rotate as it is cleaned.
4.Clean the Paper Feed Roller with paper.
(1) Make sure that the Paper Feed Roller has stopped rotating, and load three sheets of A4 or Letter-sized plain paper in the Rear Tray.
(2) Make sure that b appears on the LED, then press the Black or Color button.
The machine starts cleaning. The cleaning will be completed after the paper is ejected.
This should fix the issue
