This is a loose connection. Can you get the unit out? All of the connections except power (fairly sure about that) must be checked. Optional - if you can't remove the unit then you'll have to go to a professional. Put Jenson vx 4024 and your question in Youtube as well.

Remove battery and try again, if no! the DC jack in the laptop is a common problem from no power to intermittent power. The Laptop will need to be dismantled down to the motherboard level to address the DC jack, chances are it has bad connections on the flip side of the board where the plug is.

Try pressing reset button, if that dont work your optic is faulty. cheaper to buy new cd player.

Replacing a screen is fairly easy, usually you will see some rubber bumpers at each corner of the screen, removed those and that will expose the screws, then you will need to gently pry apard the front bezzel from the back shell. after that you will need to remove any screws holding the LCD in place. Locate the model of the screen and find on on ebay or through your laptop manufacter. I just picked up a 15.4" lcd for a toshiba on ebay for 80$ with a 6 months warrenty.

If you are not getting any power indication lights on the front of the laptop with the AC adapter plugged in, then you most likely have a faulty DC jack.  Luckily, that sort of issue can be fixed, and it is not TOO expensive.  Our company typically does DC jack repairs for about $100.

They dont sell them as a secutity measure, otherwise the theif that stole the unit out of a car could just buy a new front plate. You could try ebay, but i think kenwoods are coded to the units. Kenwood will replace units if you have purchase paperwork but you can get a 4024 for about £30 on ebay.
