I would contact Sharp directly. I'm not finding any results for a 002 error code.

The door switches are often a problem, one or two are probably defective which would cause the symptoms that you are describing.

I'm not so sure repair is not cost-effective, especially as I doubt the quality of newer units. Mine broke after 20 years, amazing for a small appliance.

But I agree re safety. If the problem is more than a broken microswitch be wary.

If it blows the line fuse instantly when you push start.... it is either a shorted HV capacitor or shorted monitor switch.... most likely.

The turntable system consists of the motor, the coupler, the turntable support with rollers, and the tray.

If yours won't rotate or it sounds like it's grinding, etc., you may have a bad motor or plastic coupler.

I see. Okay, well then I would expect there's a problem with a high voltage part, such as the diode, magnetron or transformer.
