All numbers that are shown in handset are as follows: DECT 1480-3 128E0311 IC 513C-UN107 REN 0.0 BM20352280

You need to reset the main base unit. Unplug the power from the back of the base. While the power is disconnected, press and hold the delete key while reconnecting the power. Wait for a long beep tone. When the display shows 88 or P, press play button one time. If you have a phone without an answering machine, disconnect the power from the back of the base, press and hold find hs button while reconnecting power.
SOURCE: ADDING HANDSET SAYS OUT OF RANGE
A search of Uniden support only said to call 1-800-297-1023 with handset registration issues. The rep picked up quickly and walked me through the reset procedure. Here it is step-by-step:
1. Remove battery
2. Hold down the * and # buttons and reinsert battery. You should hear a long beep. If not retry. (This is a bit awkward but hold the handset upside down and it's workable)
3. Screen will be blank. Immediately press the right soft menu button.
4. Screen will report that EEPROM is clearing and then state EEPROM Clear Ok
5. Remove battery (yes again)
6. Reinsert battery (this time there's no need to hold down any buttons)
7. Handset will reboot with Welcome screen and then state that phone must be registered (this is the status a handset should be in from the factory)
8. Place handset on base and it will register as normal

Hi!, Welcome to FixYa. There is no specific manual for this Model, but there's a manual for Uniden Dect 1480 series for all 1480 series phones (which are actually similar but come with different number of sets). To read it online, please click HERE, and to download, please follow this LINK. They are in pdf format, you'll need a pdf reader to open the manual on your computer. If you don't have a pdf reader like Adobe Reader, please follow this LINK and download it.
About your handset, I am afraid, it would work, unless it is also a 1480 series cordless.
Good Luck.
Thanks for using FixYa.
