Please confirm that the volume is turned up and the headphones you're using work by using them on another device. If both those points are confirmed, you may have a faulty headphone jack. Take (or send) the unit for repairs.

SVE1112M1E headphone problem

When your PC plays music or video, what type of sound output do you get; normal or robotic?

If its normal, you may have to test/try out another headphones and connect/plug in to your PC and listen once again to the output sound.

Is it same as your previous headphones is; sounding robotic or is it normal?

Normal sound output in the new headphones (not your previous headphone), you know the answer.

Robotic sound output with the second headphones? You mahave to reload the drivers if this'd help.

However, simply hope problem is not with your PC's sound jack

Headphone jack doesn't work

It could be there is dust in your jack. Cut down a Q-Tip and stick it in. If that doesn't fix it, it could possible be the jack has gone out. There are USB sound cards that would provide a jack.

My sound works normally when I do not have my earplugs plugged in but when i do the sound is about 33% of what it should be

Now I will say that just upgrading your headphone's alone will certainly improve the ipod touch's sound greatly but if you want a proper more dare I say "TRUE" sound then you can't go wrong with investing in something like the "NU Force Icon" & make sure you pair them with the correct type of headphone's... something clear & true maybe like the "Monster copper's" or check out some "Grado's" or whatever takes your fancy as theres plenty of choice's you can make in the Headphone market & even in the portable headphone amp market too.
But IMHO the ipod touch 3g with its supplied bog standard apple headphones might either give you a sore head or might make you want to chop off your own head as they sound that bad even with a lossless track or 320kb mp3.

So once you add your preferred choices of portable headphone amp & headphone combo = you should be quite happy with the resulting sound oh & also please don't mess with the ipods EQ settings as on FLAT

Power amp r b 981 no power to the speakers. Pre amp seems to be ok. Headphones work.

Check the headphone socket if it cuts out the speakers (normal use) when you plug the headphones in. If it doesn't and you have a switch to switch off the speakers when listening to headphones, check the switch. It may be physical damage or dirt causing the problem, or even loose soldering on the headphone socket. But the fact that headphones work shows the main amp is working. Also make certain the speakers are connected properly.

You would need to replace the headphone socket then and if I am correct it should be mounted to a plug in board. I first need the model number of your Samsung to look up the part number. The model will be on a sticker on the side and will be something like HTP50***/XAA or something like that.

Headphone jack seemingly screwed up

What generally happens to connectors, especially exposed to air is they oxydize.

Buy a can of "Contact Cleaner" from a local Radio Shack and spray it (through the thin tube usually provided) into the jack. One quick push, dont flood it. Take the earphone jack and insert and remove it several times, wiping off excess, which sould clear contacts and it should work normally again. If not it would have to be replaced which is no easy matter requiring an experienced Technician or Factory. Sometimes it cannot be replaced without damaging the Mother Board. This however sounds like a common problem the Contact Cleaner will fox

Cheers,

Good Luck :)

Sound is working but internal speaker is not working

Connecting headphones to the system will disabled the internal speakers until the headphone jack is disconnected, at which such time the internal speakers should function again.

If you disconnect the headphones and the internal speakers are not re-activated, then there may be damaged to the microswitch in the jack. (Try rebooting after the headphones are disconnected too)
