If you can remove the necessary covers to find the adjuster mechanism(s) do so and then adjust one side of the belt until it runs true again. Otherwisw get a manual from the Nordic Trac website and follow those instructions.

Your belt is either worn or out of adjustment and too loose. Some treadmills actually have 2 belts depending on the drive system. Some have a small belt that goes from the actual motor to a pulley that is attached to walking belt drive system. If the big walking belt is tight you may have that system and the small belt needs tightened. Other systems have the motor connected directly to the big walking belt and in this system my guess would be the big walking belt is loose. Most have adjustment screws at the back end of the treadmill frame along side the belt to make it tighter. Adjust both sides the same so it tracks straight.
Loosen the walk belt by loosening the two adjuster bolts at the rear or the belt a couple of turns. Take your oil and reach your hand under the belt and smear the oil on the smooth board under the belt. After tighten the bolts, start the treadmill and adjust the side to side on the walk belt. The oil will coat the back of the walk belt and you are done!
you need to adjust the travel of belt. to do this you need a allen wrench that came with it. if you have it run treadmill at slow speed,go to the rear right at the right end cap there is a hole, use the allen wrench and unscrew slowly while watching the belt until returns to the middle. if it slips when walking go back to rear and adjust by screwing in one turn on each side until belt wont slip.
Here are two solutions one is to get the belt centered on the treadmill
and the other is to tighten the belt.
There should be two bolts
in the rear of the treadmill, one on each
side. These bolts adjust the rear roller of the treadmill. The walking
belt will always go to the side that is looser. To get the belt back
on track, (if you can start the treadmill so the belt is running)
tighten the bolt on the side that the belt has slipped to. Tighten the
bolt a little bit at a time. If you tighten the bolt too much, then the
belt will go to the other side.
To tighten the belt, start by
locating the two bolts that adjust the
rear roller (one on each side of the unit in the back). Run the unit at
about 3 mph. Tighten the bolts a 1/4 turn at a time. Make sure that
what you do to one side, you MUST do to the other side or the belt will
get off center. After you tighten it 1/4 turn, check the belt to see if
it is still slipping. If it is then tighten the belt 1/4 turn again.
Continue until the belt does not slip, but do not tighten the bolts more
than 2 full turns.
The walking belt may be too loose. If you have made recent adjustments, lubricated, or had repairs, a belt can slip if not tightened. The belt can slip if you have too much friction or if the belt has been recently lubricated. If lube does not help your problem and you have exhausted all other possibilities, the walking belt is most likely worn out and must be replaced. To adjust the belt:Less Belt Tension: turn both adjustment bolts on back of treadmill in a counter-clockwise direction.More Belt Tension:Turn both adjustment bolts equally in a clockwise direction.Center Adjustment (moves belt center to the left):Turn left-side adjustment bolt counter-clockwise.Center Adjustment (moves belt center to the right):Turn the left-side adjustment bolt clockwise. An over tightened walking belt can raise the amp draw of your treadmill, contribute to seam separation on the walking belt, or both, so do not over tighten the walking belt. You should be able to lift the belt in the center on the side by approximately 2” to 3”, if you cannot lift it by 2” to 3”, the belt is too tight.

with item going 2mph, stand on foot rails, hold on handles, with one foot try stopping walking belt-look at front roller while doing this-if walking belt slips around frt roller, its the walking belt loose. at each corner there is an adjustment, with proper allen wrench, turn CLOCK WISE one turn EQAULLY on each side!! Then recheck, keep doing this untill it quits slipping-Small moves is best don't crank.
Now on other hand if walking belt Stops with frt roller, its the MTR dr. belt under the hood, to tighten, with 2 9/16th wrenchs, I loosen mtr mount bolt, with one hand apply pressure to mtr, retighten, or have wife apply this pressure with her foot, but don't over tightn-u want to turn belt 1/4-1/2 inch on side. Also check walking lube under walking belt!!
Ok I really need more info but let's take a stab at it. The bolts in the back of the rear roller adjust the belt right and left. It also tightens and loosens. Ok there is also a drive belt from the motor that needs to be tight. Generally you should be able to twist the drive belt about 45 degrees. If it's more than that it probably needs to be tightened. If this is loose it will affect the walking belt the same as the walking belt being loose. So when your walking belt is slipping, make sure you tightened the right belt. Tightening the wrong belt can lead to other problems. Tightening the walk belt with the rear roller- turn both bolts clockwise equally to tighten. Remember the walking belt will travel to side with least tension. So to center belt, adj left or right side to fine tune. If belts are adjusted properly and machine stops when you walk on it, you have other issues. Could be the deck ( the board under the belt) and belt or the motor.
There are two allen bolts (one on each side) at the end of the machine. These bolts adjust the tension on the belt. If they are not adjusted evenly the beft will gradually shift of the more loose side.
