Clicking and it wont turn on

When you turn on the tv it makes a clicking sound like it's going to turn on, but it does not. The clicking just continues until you turn it off.

its the capacitor inside the tv open it up and you should see atleast 1 capacitor which has bulged ( looks like glue coming out of it ) usually a 3000 ~ you can replace these yourself no problem for around 10p each but i do warn you there is a chance you could lose your built in freeview in doing so!

My Philips 50PFP5332D 50 in also makes this clicking sound . I found five pregnant capacitors they are bulged out, two of them also leaked out. I dont know the values of them and from where to get them to replace with higher voltage

That usually indicates that your power supply has gone bad. The clicking sound you hear is your power supply not getting enough current to turn on your screen. Could be a simple fix as a bad capacitor but not sure? If you can pin point that problem being your power supply, it is some times cheaper to just replace the power supply board but it depends how old your TV is and if the power supply unit is available.

My TC-P50C2 wont turn on only has 1 month with very low usage. I tried to power on, the red light get on (makes a click sound) and a few minutes later it turns off (makes a click sound)

My RCA tv turned off in the middle of watching it and now it wont turn back on.red light comes on and tv makes clicking sound but no picture or sound.sounds like it turns off again.

Sounds like the Horizonal Output Transistor Shorted, Also on many RCA sets the Flyback Transformer is bad to go and short the HO Transistor

what the full model number of your tv?
the clicking sound is the result of a faulty power supply, some capacitors(blown heads) on the power supply for the output voltage rail of the mains board need to be replaced.
