It seems the sensor is jammed or malfunctioning, fooling the control section and keeping the machine from working.
I don't know the machine but the sensor detecting the full ice section is either mechanical or a thermistor (electronic). Locate the sensor and make sure it is in position to sense or simply messing with it may make it work again.

Bypass the sensors and and it works!
Had the same problem... Called Curtis international - the actual manufacturer. Reset by unplugging and then holding the on/off button for 5 seconds and then then plug back in after 30 minutes. This did not work. Called back and they said was internal and not fixable. If purchased within 30 days, return to the store of purchase. Good luck to all. Apparently, this seems to be a common problem.
