Congratulations !! Now finally you can buy new TV for you. Same case happened with my ViewSonic LCD Monitor. Its due to damaged PCB behind LCD panel. Check if you are lucky by searching PCB for your TV.

TV does not turn on just an orange light for power. Is there a fuse? Is it shot? Thanks! Doug

hi ;
your LCD TV has a fuse, but you said it has orange light.
maybe there's problem with power supply
try some basic troubleshooting
you have to remove back cover ,then check power supply section, some power supply has
built with inverter board that supply the bulb of LCD.
check for bloated capacitor ,you can do some soldering by removing capacitor. try to watch this http://www.youtube.com if you know how to solder, or even disassemble the back of LCD TV.
if this procedure wont help, maybe some parts has a failure. make some comment so i can help you more further.

My Panasonic TC-14LA2 LCD tv set has stopped turning on, twice it came on after about 12 and 16 hours. Now, it's not turn on at all. I appreciate any suggestions.

hi; your LCD has power supply failure, maybe loose solder (always happens because of heat on board) and maybe some capacitors have changed value or bloated. if you have any background in electronics.try this minor solution. remove cover at the back of your LCD, find the power supply board check if it has some capacitor bloated.(power supply board has many big capacitor and small transformers)
you can do some repair from that problem,
by replacing those capacitor. be sure to replace same value and put to right polarity, because capacitor has a positive and negative size.
if you know how to solder or use a soldering iron,
try to watch this for some tips on repair.
http://www.youtube.com
if this wont work maybe your TV has other problem,
thanks .... be generous for giving some rate.......

Samsung lcd has no power, the red power light doesn't even come on. Could this be a fuse? Power supply board? If so, where are the fuses located?

Plasma and LCD TV sets are prone to having capacitors in the power supply section fail. This is the most likely cause for the probem you describe. When capacitors fail your will commonly see one or more of the following symptoms.
  • No video, Power light is on or blinking.
  • TV is making a clicking noise.
  • TV takes a while to come on
  • Screen is very dim or flickers.

Again, You can get a power supply repair kit with the parts, detailed instructions, and support from sites such as www.TvRepairKits.com . Or just click here to see more details on their kit.

Here are pictures of capacitors...Notice that the ones below look bloated. They have failed and will need to be repalced.

Monitor won't stay turned on. You push the on button and it flicks on and then immediately off. Help!

The possible problem of your monitor is may be cold solder, bloated elec. capacitor or defective lcd panel. If you found that bloated capacitor replace it and resolder all pins of inverter area. Defective lcd panel could cause of display flicks then immediately off.

46" samsung flat screen takes 30 to 50 minutes to turn on

Hello,This sounds like a capacitor malfunction. Check the capacitors on your power supply boards (there should be two of them one is the AC input board and the other is the main DC switching powersupply). I have seen this before and every time it has been a series of dried out and bloated capacitors, effecting voltage regulation.Check for bloated capacitors and replace them, then check the voltages at the test points to make sure they are within specifications. You will need a multimeter, and the schematic for this TV set.I hope this helpsThank you,Shuttle83http://www.electron-age-technologies-llc.com
