Short circuited component/s at its main board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its horizontal scan output section circuit. Check the LOT (Line Output Transformer) too for damage. Replace the horizontal scan output transistor. Check the input voltage to LOT. If the voltage is absent check the feeder resistor; if any. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. SOURCE: TV, i plug it in, turn it on, no image, "on timer" light comes on.

If you dont hear a click theres a problem in the standby power supply. if you do hear a click theres a problem in the Main power supply or sweep supply. Get a good tech to look at this for you if your not a tech. Good Luck

shorted components causes continuous ticking/clicking sound from inside the set! it would really need a shop visit since you have no picture display! if you could trust the service person then it could be worth sending it to a shop!

SOURCE: jvc tv av-32d502 timer light is flashing will not turn on

Hello, I am a tv tech. I worked on a JVC AV-32D502 today. Problem: led flashes / no power or picture at all. Same as trobertson52's set. The microprocessor is bad in my machine. trobertson52, if your sets' relay does not click when the power button is depressed you most likely have the same problem or the standby power circuit is at fault. That circuit supplies +5 volts to the micro.

Edtal you have a different problem with your machine. Your machine is going into shutdown. A number of circuits could cause this and would need to be looked at by a technician to determine exactly which circuit is at fault. High voltage transformer (HOT) \ Vertical Circuit \ Power supply are the most likely causes.

SOURCE: TV turned off itself and timer light (red) keeps blinking

The TV is on protect mode.

Try first leaving the TV power cord unplugged for some times, let say one hour or so.

Also ensure that the fault is not coming from a faulty receiver box sending bad signal, check if you get same problem with no receiver box or dvd connected.

If that does not work, and you keep having a flashing led on front of the TV, and tv turning off by itself after a while, that indicates a fault condition.

The flashing light indicates a diagnostic state called protection.
When the TV goes on protection there are only two possible reasons.

1The internal circuits are jammed because of electrostatic charges accumulating on capacitors, or because of a wrong voltage read by the main chip on your monitor controller board. this started the protection circuit.

2 The protection circuit detected a wrong voltage or abroken contact, identified an internal fault and kicked in , startingthe flashing light.

If you are in situation one, then theTV will reset just unplugging power cord for one or two hours, sometimes even minutes.

If you are in situation 2 , then there is an internal fault.

Common faults that can occur are a blown capacitor on power board, a convergence IC has blown, or a fault on Digital board.

Check also the video cable or any external connection cable, if the cable is shorting, or the connector is bad, you can get same flashing state because of the video cable.

If under warranty contact the manufacturer ringing the number on the user manual

If you want to repair at your own expenses, just locate any good qualified repairer.

Power timer light flashing, won't come on

Flashing of power LED are fault indications. You have to count the number of flashes occurs at one time. Check this link for more details about the blinking codes. Do a search by entering the brand name to your device by its search box at top right of the display window, because, posts are not arranged in alphabetical order, but by brand name first.

My tv wont come on just makes a clicking noise and the red power light clicks on and off.

You got a issue with the powersupply unit inside I would recommend getting it checked out.

1. you could have a bad capacitor
2. you could have a bad fuse
3. if its a flyback system that also would need to be checked.

Get a estimate if its costing you more then $150 think about getting yourself a new tv as these are not worth it to fix if it cost over adverage.

Thanks

I have a 32 inch jvc that is 4 years old it went black and is making loud zaping noises what is my problem and how do i fix it model number is av--32d305

The zapping noises are coming from the flyback transformer which is also why you do not have a picture. JVC discontinued this model so it is a good chance there are no parts available to fix it. You would be better off buying a new tv.

TV wont power on, clicking noise and flashing standby led

Sounds pretty bad to me, I had a computer monitor that did a similar thing when plugged in after blowing, it's not a good thing. I didn't even bother to mess with it. You may have to replace the whole power board or at least have a whole handful of pieces to re-solder. It most likely isn't worth it unless your other tv's are under 30" and you don't have a lot of money ;)

JVC AV-32730 36" picture problem..

From what you describe, a solder joint has probably cracked loose in a power supply or deflection circuit, which is quite common. Since you do sometimes see a good picture, all of your major components are fine. Repairing cracked solder joints is a very easy procedure and definately worth fixing on a 32 inch TV. The first 2 digits of the model number indicate the size of the TV.
