The discs tell the machine how much water to dispense through the disc. Some discs dispense a small amount for an Espresso, others give a larger drink. Normal cups will not fill, you need smaller coffee cups for most Tassimo drinks.
Check the packet to see how much it dispenses and check with a measurement jug to see if it is working properly, you may be surprised to find it is working fine.

SOURCE: Leaks when dispensing

I think I just pulled off an effective fix on mine... went from leaking all over the counter to no leaks in the last three pots.. not sure if we have the same model.. in fact I don't even know what model I have... it's a plain white unit with a singe button. Anyway, here's what I did:

  • Remove the bucket
  • Turn bucket over
  • On my unit, the bucket itself is mounted inside of the white outer trim, and the assembly is held together by four recessed phillips screws. Remove those four screws and seperate the bucket from the outer shell.
  • Reach into the bucket and pull the rubber gasket seal from the dispenser.
  • On the bottom of the bucket, raise the dispenser lever until the spring pops out.
  • Stretch the spring a bit.. not too much, you want to be able to put it back!
  • Clean the gasket seal and the gasket seating surface.
  • Put it all back together :)

The stretched spring causes the gasket to seal more tightly than it did before, and in my case, stopped the leaks.

SOURCE: Coffee maker makes cream curdle

Run two or three reservoirs full of plain water through the machine to rinse out the descaler, which is acidic.

Acid curdles milk.

SOURCE: I Have descaled my Saeco Odea Go but still it doesnt brew coffee

That is serious, that means the grinder is jammed or not working. To check the components of the machine follow these instructions.
Press and hold the steam button and turn on the machine, when you see the lights going around in anticlockwise direction, release the button. Turn the coffee dial to the left and press the steam button, the grinder should turn. Dial on the right and pressing coffee ****. water pump runs. Press steam ****. brew group go up, dial 1/4 to left B/Group down.
If grinder not turning the motor is bad. Hope it will help to find out.

I have been having trouble with the coffee coming out (vvery slow flow) so I descaled the machine today. Now its worse - it is just dribbling out - doesn't seem to have enough water going through. Can you...

2 things can cause this.
1. the grinder is set to fine abd you are creating to much pressure and the pump is having a hard time pushing water through.
2. You are getting a blockage in the brew head from coffee residue and oils.
Tru pushing the prre grind button and making a coffee without putting any coffee in. Blank shot. If it works its you grind. If not its your brew head. Needs to be cleaned.

Does not dispense enough water. I get about 2 ounces of coffee at a time. How do I adjust the water level?

When was the last time the unit was descaled? A build up of scale will gradually restrict and then stop the water flow.

Check your water flowmeter. Check the turbine is not scaled or clogged.

Tassimo squirts out coffee and choclate

Sounds like you have descaled machine but forgot to replace or replace cutter disc correctly. The other possible problem is that the cutter is worn and needs replacing.
