Can leave the water out overnight in order to get rid of the chlorine?

Chlorine is very volatile, so it will evaporate very quickly from your water source. If your water is only treated with chlorine, then letting it stand overnight will allow the chlorine to evaporate from the water and make it safe to use. You can use a ventilator to speed up the process.

Has an awful smell even after cleaning frige

Sometimes putting a couple of open boxes of baking soda in the fridge and freezer will help get rid of the smell. You can also scrub the interior with a solution of water and borax. If you can stand the smell of vinegar, cleaning with that will help as well..

On an intermittent basis, I find standing water in the drum several days after having done the laundry.

Hi could be grit in the water valve diafram only solution is to first turn the hot water off after use for a couple of days if no water do the same to the cold then you should know wich valve the only other way is to take the top off and pull off the water hoses that are connected to the valves and see if any water is seeping past the valves it will be a small drip take off the offending valve and blow though the small hose hole that shou get rid of the grit if not get a new water valve

My dishwasher stinks like eggs

If the unit is not draining completely you may get a smell. I would use Affresh in the unit and see if this gets rid of it. If not, it might be an issue with your water. Do you have well water? Sulfur in the well water can sometimes cause this issue.

Water leaks from somewhere in the freezer and collects in the bottom where it freezes. How can I make it stop? It gets so thick it leaks out the front and make a puddles on the floor. I have to take a hair...

Your freezer has a drain that leads to the exterior drain pan beneath the unit. Occasionally this drain can become clogged resulting in standing water inside your freezer, due to line freeze over. In the freezer, standing water will become ice and may result in defrost problems or inadequate coldness.

You will need to Clear the drain by forcing a solution of water and bleach or water and baking soda into the drain line with a basting syringe. If the solution will not flow through, slide a length of ¼ inch flexible tubing into the drain tube to push the clog through to the drain pan. Remove the tubing after clearing the clog. This will correct the issue.

Had standing gray water under house got the water out and fixed the drain problem but still have the smell How do we get rid of the smell of the stagnent water its bad. Thanks

Many commercial cleansers are good for neutralizing odors, but several common household products can be used as well. Vinegar is an extremely versatile grocery item that neutralizes many odors, including those left behind by pet accidents and skunk sprays.

Baking soda, whether applied dry to an area or mixed and sprayed with warm water, is another effective way to absorb and neutralize household odors. Baking soda carries the added benefit of absorbing moisture, so it often makes a good secondary application for a moist stubborn stain causing an odor. Citrus fruits like lemon and oranges deodorize and leave a pleasant smell behind. Using citrus juice on fabrics is not usually recommended, but they are good for things like running through garbage disposals.

Standing water in washing machine

The inlet water valve is not shutting off completely. Replace the valve, which is the part the inlet hoses screw onto.
