I just purchased one from Ebay. It plays fine on both sides. The recorder will recognize CDR's and the display will say recordable media. But, when I attempt to actually record, it won't work. I have another unit exactly like this one and the CD's I have work fine with that unit. I'm guessing this unit's recorder is bad? Any suggestions? Thanks.

It implies the unit could not satisfactorily adjust to the reflectivity of the medium.

Try another disc or even another brand.

The Unit turns itself off automatically after a few (variable) time when simply reading a CD and also when burning, then after 1 or 2 seconds it turns on and goes automatically in stand by mode. Any solution? Thanks.

There are a few common power cords that fit most makes, Radio Shack, Service Shops, Specialty Electronic Stores, and second hand shops usually will have what you are looking for, as a last resort check out ebay.

Yours is the only context Google can find for that disk type. What's so special about them?

The recorder will work with any disc on which "the text 'DIGITAL AUDIO' is present!"

la cdr765 de philips es una grabadora de pc 3610 de philips o hp7200, el opc error es la lente esta mal, compra ina grabadora y cambia los 2 circuitos de la mecanica original de la cdr765 y desmonta la 3640/7200 y ponle los circuitos montas y a disfrutar.

Can i connect my mixer to the input of the cdr 765 then connect the amp to the outputs. Will this work and record?

If you just treat the CDR as a tape deck, I'm pretty sure your mixer has accomodations for that. Then you won't have to connect the amp to the CDR and anything you want to mix/monitor will be available to the amp.

What kind of cd's are necessary to record with the CDR cd harman kardon recorder, I put the blank digital vinyl CD-R disk and the CDR gives me a NON-AUDIO answer and I can not record

You need CDR Music. CDR Data will not work in a consumer CD recorder. Professional CD recorders do not have this media limitation.
