The solution is to disconnect the head unit and the cd changer from each other and from the car itself, leave it for ten minutes. reconnect and turn the ignition on but not the car itself, enter radio code if has one and all should work.

SOURCE: Cd changer will not work

I had the same problem with my 2002 307SW.
I read on another forum to switch ignition off, remove CD changer from dash and disconnect. It then told me to remove the lid from the case unscrewing the screws marke 1 to 5 then remove the Cd's. The only problem with this is you need a special size 'star' driver bit which i did not have at home and could not unscrew them. What i did was to use a terminal screwdriver in the 2 larger screws that fasten the front plastic cover on the unit. Once I had done that I could remove the CD's.
I then connected the changer back up and inserted it back into the dash. I then powered the radio back up anf loaded a CD and the problem had gone away so I loaded the 5 CD slots and everything works fine now.

SOURCE: Peugeot 307 Blaupankt CD Changer IDC-A09

Hi, I know this is an old post, but I'll reply, so that other readers may get the benefit of my answer.

2004 was the year that Peugeot/Citroen changed from VAN bus to CAN bus wiring on their stereo's. If your car is before or early 2004 you will need the IDC-A09 blaupunkt in dash changer, which should just plug in and work straight away.

However, If your car is later 2004 onwards you will need the IDC-A04 Blaupunkt changer which will plug in and power up, but will not work properly untill you go to a peugeot dealer and they hook up some diagnostic software to tell the car a changer has been added. Both the IDC-A04 and A09 changers look identical.

I would say that you got the wrong changer, as the IDC-A09 changers in pre/early 2004 should just plug in and work.

Remember: Pre 2004 cars need IDC-A09 (plug and play) and Post 2004 cars need IDC-A04 changer (get pug dealer to reprogram cars computer)...its a costly mistake if you bought the wrong one!

Entered code says wait 1 hour

When you add an IDC-A09 changer to a pre-2004 car, you should not need to enter any code, it should just plug and play. If you have added an IDC-A09 changer to a post 2004 car the you have probably got the wrong changer. Post 2004 cars *usually* need the IDC-A04 changer, which looks identical.

The IDC-A04 uses CAN-bus while the IDC-A09 uses VAN-bus wiring. The two are not interchangable.

I removed my PU 2471A head unit and Blaupunkt IDC-A09 changer from my Peugeot car as both had minor faults caused by my son putting objects into cd slots.Prior to this both units worked perfectly in...

The head unit needs reprogramming with planet to accept the CD changer....... a main dealer or any good local garage should be able to help you with the software needed.

Blaupunkt IDC A09 not recognised

If the unit you replaced it with is exactly the same model as your old one and its the same head unit, then i would check the lead, try wiggling it and seef it recognises it, if not then someones sold you a dodgy cd changer from ebay

Not playing!!

hi the A09 has to be married to the head unit, unless your model is the A09 PSA.
