SOURCE: Cracked screen

on a 3g iphone the glass/digitizer replacement is pretty easy, definitely much less than replacements of ATT or Apple if you can do it yourself, there are iphone repair guides websites that guide you through the repair step by step, but you should have done something like this before.

The software of the phone must have gone corrupt. Take it to the authorized person and may also have to change your scren curcuit or the whole software.

SOURCE: Dropped my phone, half white/half black screen.

Repairing the damage to your phone cannot be performed 'at home'. You'll need to take (or send) it to a repair center to determine the amount of damage it has sustained and the exact parts that will be needed to fix it properly.

If you have insurance on your phone with your cellular provider you can have it replaced -as cell phones being dropped are covered by most insurance policies.

Take the phone to one of your cellular providers Retail Stores that has on-site tech support and repair. They will be able to perform a more accurate assessment of the damage and cost to repair it.

SOURCE: iphone screen not responsive in certain areas

You have a broken digitizer or touch panel. Apple should give you a replacement. If you're out warranty, you can try to open it and replace the touch panel. You can get the part on Ebay or at iPhone Repair and there is a free guide that shows you how to open an iPhone and install parts at iPad Repair Guide.

take it your phone has been dropped a couple times? lol..

Does the screen work normally? either way if you havent fixed this yet (seeing as this is 23 days old as i post) your going to have to take your phone apart. you can try the easy way and take the bottom half apart but dont try to take the screen off. there is a flimsy ribbon cable that runs from the top corner of the bottom half through the hinge that is easier than heck to break. after you get the bottom half apart try pressing down on the plug of it to see if it is loose then try your phone again.

the reason i asked if the screen is working is because that one cable usually handles everything in the top half and when one thing in an electrical device (expecially a small one that has a bunch of tiny components) doesn't work there can be no telling what else will go with it

The bottom half of my screen wont work. but the top half will work

Im assuming your iphone screen is cracked and you failed to mention that. It is a problem with your digitizer. Search your local craigslist.org for people to fix iPhone digitizers, it will cost you about $50

LG AX8600 phone is broken in half..need flex cable for bottom

You should be able to take it to Alltel or Verizon and they can pull the information out of it possibly. If screen works, you can go to the apps and use mighty backup(call representative for instructions).

BLANK

the problem of your phone is the flex cable, just go to your nearest repair phone shop if they have a spare of flex cable for your phone.

peace!
