Question about HP Officejet 6700 Premium E-All-In-One Printer
I want to see what I will be printing before I print it
When you click on the printer symbol to print there is an option to preview print.......this shows you exactly what will be printed without printing.

Testimonial: "Print Preview is an option in Explorer or Firefox and not strictly a printer function. When you print in Word or Wordperfect you cannot use the print preview function in the web browser."

Remove the printer from the systema and reinstall the latest driver from the manufactures website. Then re install the printer to your computer.

Yes I will tell you why Kodak photo paper is a little thicker in size and you should not get this same error message if you use hp photo paper or regular photo paper.See of this helps.....

Solution
Step one: Reset the product
Step two: Check the condition of the paper and reload it
Step three: Adjust the paper settings in the print driver The paper settings in the print driver must match the paper settings for at least one of the installed paper trays.
NOTE:
Do not load too much paper in the product.

Move the printer to a different location and keep it closer to the connected device (e.g. router) and away from large metal objects / other electromagnetic devices for stronger signal strength.

How are you connecting to the printer (over the network or a direct USB connection)? If you are using a USB connection, try a new cable or plugging into a different USB port. If you use a USB hub, try a direct connection.
If you are using a network connection, check if your firewall is blocking the connection. Also check that the router (or switch) didn't dropped the network connection and didn't re-synch with the printer (or worse changed the IP address of the printer).
I hope this helps.

A lot of applications have the print preview option. Acrobat does not, so when you want to print a PDF file you cannot preview it first. Older HP printers I have had had the option as a "printer option" to review the item before it is printed. I cannot find it on this 6700. R
I am assuming that you are using a Mac, as all other options are not available to you! Please give full details for a proper assessment to be made to try and solve your issues! If I am right and you are using a Mac with Adobe to view and print PDF files then Adobe does not support print preview anymore so you will need to use MAC Preview to do this.
Glad to be of assistance!
I am using a PC and have the same problem with PDF"s. Explorer and firefox have print preview features but they do not work for PDF"s.
I am sure that because the whole purpose of a PDF is to create a universal document format that will render exactly as intended, a PDF will print out exactly as displayed. If you want to see how a PDF fits onto a page, for example if the PDF page is a different size than the printed paper, go to File > Print to bring up the Print wizard and you will see a mini Preview panel. From this wizard you can change other print options such as if a PDF page size to larger than the printer paper, you can tile it only multiple pages, or you can shrink it to fit onto the page.
