This is my problem, too. The fact that no one has answered your question since October 1st, is troubling.

Royal typewriter drive belt and ribbon for 44212520

We should have a belt in stock for this model and ribbon as well. The ribbons is a standard one we refer to as a T-5 (General Ribbon product), this ribbon has an eyelet at both ends of the ribbon which is designed to activate the ribbon reverse. I you need to reach us for further assistance you can reach us at (561) 439-7766.

I have a olympia werke ag wilhelmshaven typewriter! I'm not sure of the year or anything else about it because I found it in an alley in perfect condition, weird. Anyway! The ink ribbon is totally dry and...

It would take the same as a GRC (general ribbon corp) T-5 or T-6 and make sure you cut the eyelets off at the end of each spool to prevent locking up ribbon on ribbon reverse operation. The Olympia machine ribbon reverse does not work of eyelet activation. These are German made machines and are built to last a life time.

How to install typewriter ribbon on a Sears typewriter model no 2

I believe this T/W takes a Gen. Ribbon T5 or T7. Check to see which way the spool turns over 90% wrap to the outdide of the spool. Put it on to wrap in that direction, the ribbon will have an eyelet about 6" from the end be sure that is wrapped on the spool. From either side put the ribbon tru the reversing arm, tru the lifter, tru the other reversing arm and back to the other spool.

How do I replace the ribbon on an Underwood typewriter?

Really? An Underwood typewriter?
First, do you have a replacement ribbon that is not dried out? Does the ribbon come on one spool or two?
If the typewriter already has a ribbon installed, it is a simple matter of noting the path the current ribbon follows, and which way the ribbon winds onto the spools. Then install the new ribbon following exactly the same threading path. If there is not already a ribbon installed, then it is a little more complicated, and it will depend on your spatial relationship visualization skills.

1. Type a few letters on the typewriter, and take note of which way the spools turn.
2. Mount the two new spools containing the new ribbon so that the full spool will supply (unwind), and the empty spool will take-up (wind) the ribbon.
3. Thread the ribbon through all of the guides in the threading path - there are probably about 6-8 guides that the ribbon has to go through. The most important guides are the ones that carry the ribbon in front of the typeface elements as they strike the paper. But equally important are the guides that monitor the tension of the ribbon - they will cause the spool advance mechanism to reverse the ribbon take-up direction when the ribbon reaches the end of travel.

The keys on the left side of my circa 1933 Royal typewriter gets stuck on the ribbon everytime. Also my ribbon doesn't advance. Help?!

The most likely problem is there is dirt inside the ribbon basket. This is the area where the type bar (this is the bar with the actual letter on it) ends. They all fit into a semi circle area. If you can find something very narrow and thin with a hook on it you can use it to clean out the areas where each type bar goes. Then try to lightly lube the entire basket right where the type bars pivot with something light like sewing machine or 3 in 1 0il. As far as the ribbon reverse goes it might be as simple as making sure that the ribbon is being fed through the ribbon reverse forks which are usually located left of each ribbon spool.

Good luck

This is most likely the ribbon drive and Caltex has them.

304 barcode damaged

Try one of the following:
1. Turn the printer off, then back on
2. Reverse the ribbon; perhaps it is upside down

Once the printer is powered on and the ribbon is in correctly, the printer should work.

Need help

has the ribbon reached the end? take it out and turn the knob and see if the ribbon is turning. If not, it is either defective or at the end.
