Question about Nokia N95 Cellular Phone
SOURCE: Formatting N95 Nokia Phone
WARNING
When updating software on Mobs, be sure to:
HAVE A FULLY CHARGED BATTERY INSERTED;
PUT IT ON GENERAL PROFILE;
TURN OFF YOUR PIN NUMBER;
CONNECT YOUR CHARGER TO YOUR MOB AND SWITCH IT ON;
DO NOT ----- DO NOT ---- TOUCH YOUR PHONE WHILE THE UPDATE IS GOING ON;
THIS CAN TAKE 30 MINUTES OR MORE.
And obviously don't unplug the phone from the PC.
Be patient, you may have to do a restart or two on your mob afterwards. Even remove the battery to get it going again (not recommended). But give it plenty of time.
--------------------------------------
It is also wise not to use your PC while updating software, just in case the PC freezes.
If the PC freezes during an update, you're up the creek without a paddle...
I did an update on a Sony Eric 810i it took nearly two hours.
--------------------------------------
More... Your phone turns itself on and off, sometimes more than once while updating software, you should leave it well alone during the update.
You could try this, but don't hold much hope:
Press * 3 send at the same time and turn the phone on. Keep them pressed until the reset screen appears.
Give it time to reset.
Yes! I know, you need someone to press the ON button.
Or try:
Hard reset code *#7780#

Try formatting your phone. Turn it off. Then hold the following keys WHILE it's turning back on: (3 + * + green call key). Don't let go till it asks you about your location. Be aware that it will delete everything saved in your phone memory. Let me know how it goes. :)

There might be a bug in the software . Backup all of your phone memory . and Contacts and messages etc. Then reset the phone by typing *#7370# .... default code is 12345. the phone will restart . Restore the backup taken and check.
