The oven quit working on our kenmore stove. The cook top all works just fine. All the controls indicate it is working. No error codes display. But the elements for both the top and the bottom are not heating up. Is there a fuse? Can't picture both top and bottom elements going bad at the same time.

SOURCE: I have a Kenmore Stove

You could very well have an Electronic Oven Control (EOC) board problem. There two separate circuits that control the oven BAKE and BROIL functions. If you have replaced the BAKE element, and have ensured it connected properly, the only other component that controls that function, is the EOC. If you post back with your complete model number, I can double check to make sure. The model number will be located on a nameplate somewhere around the oven door opening or lower drawer opening. The reason I need to confirm is because some ranges have a separate relay control board.

SOURCE: Oven heat

There is a bottom hidden element that is the main element used for baking and cleaning. If its not heating then the element has gone bad and needs replacing. If you have a volt meter then you can confirm this by checking the voltage between the two terminals sticking out of the rear of the range. There should be 240vac across the two. If you have that then you need a new element if you don't then you need a new control board.

My Kenmore Elite Gas Range is reading F1 on the display....the gas burners work on stove but the oven wont work....any ideas??

The F1 error code is a failure of the electronic oven control. This could be caused by a stuck keypad or an internal malfunction of the control. You will need to disconnect power and wait at least 30 seconds, reapply power and if condition still exist you will need to replace the electronic oven control.

You will also need to check if the oven is overheating. If the control has sensed a runaway oven temperature it will display an F1 error code. This could indicate a failure of the oven temperature sensor.

Hope helps.

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

Error code F1 indicates electronic control failure and is displayed due to electronic oven control failure and the only way to solve this problem is by replacing the control board which is bad. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Kenmore Gas Range model # 362.75491990 F3 error Oven will not hold temp - error message displays and beeps I Replaced the oven temp sensor same issue Is the control panel bad?

Hi,

Many models of the GE microwave have sensors that can detect humidity from the foods you are cooking. This allows the microwave to make adjustments to the power levels used to cook your food. If "Sensor Error" appears, you should either press "Clear" to cancel the mode or leave the food in the appliance longer to give the microwave more time to detect the food.

Press "Time Cook" to manually enter the time if you receive an error message when trying to use the "Sensor Reheat" mode of your GE microwave. The error message may be caused by the food item being too large or too small to detect.

these are some other code error that will help you in case of next time.

  1. Step 1 Press "Off/Cancel" (or "Cancel/Off" depending on your model) to clear the error code. Note the code if it reappears.
  2. Step 2 Replace the touchpad if the code displayed is "F0," "F7" or "F10." A function key is stuck or shorted.
  3. Step 3 Replace the touchpad or the clock (ERC) if the code "F1" is displayed. Disconnect the ribbon connector to the touchpad. If no code is displayed after an hour, replace the touchpad. If the code displays again, replace the clock.
  4. Step 4 Replace the oven temperature sensor if "F2," "F3" or "F4" is displayed. "F2" indicates the oven temperature is too hot and the oven temperature sensor is suspect. "F3" or "F4" indicates the oven temperature sensor or shorted or open.
  5. Step 5 Replace the ERC if "F5," F6" or "F8" is displayed. The ERC is the main control unit. "F5," F6" and "F8 are codes that indicate problems in the ERC functions.
  6. Step 6 Inspect the door-lock assembly and circuit if "F9" is displayed. The door must lock when the oven is in use. If the lock mechanism is not functioning or if the detection circuit is malfunctioning, the stove will display "F9."

jQuery('.article ol .image').each(function(i,e){ var $this = jQuery(this); $this.find('img').error(function(){ jQuery(this).remove(); $this.remove(); }); }); NOTE:

"F3" codes mean your oven temperature sensor has failed or shorted out. The only thing you can do is to replace the sensor.

Take care.

My Kenmore oven won't work there is a PF 5AB error

The PF on your control indicates a power failure and should be removed by pressing the cancel button. The 5ab code indicates the range is in the SABBATH mode.

If a power failure occurs when the SABBATH mode is set, the oven will return to the OFF mode and will turn the power OFF to the oven.

To ENABLE SABBATH mode:

* Open the oven door
* Press STOP/CLEAR
* Press both the HOUR "UP" and "DOWN" arrow pad at the same time - and hold for 5 seconds.
SAB ON will disappear from the display.

To disable SABBATH mode: Repeat the steps above and SAB OFF will appear.

To set the SABBATH mode for use during the SABBATH/Holidays:
* Press BAKE
* Pres TEMP "UP" and "DOWN" Arrow pad to enter a different temperature other than 350 degrees. (Between 170F and 500F)
* Press COOK TIME
* Press HOUR/MIN "up" or "down" arrow to set cook time
* Press DELAY START to set a delayed cook time (optional)
* Press and hold TIMER OFF for 5 seconds
SAB will appear on the display indicating it is ready.
* Press START
* To STOP cooking - press STOP/CLEAR
* To exit the SABBATH mode and return to normal operation - press and hold TIMER OFF for 5 seconds.

Oven doesn't work, stove does

If it's a Whirlpool or Kenmore oven (or one of several other brands that are made by Whirlpool) then this error code means:

F1 - E1 Safety flip flop Replace Electronic Range Control/Clock (ERC)

The system believes that the control board has failed and needs to be replaced.

This page has a list of diagnostic codes by brand and model number. You should check there to look up your particular brand to confirm what I just said.

Flashing Lights on Thermador Oven/Range

the lights flashing in a sequence indicates the error code. The error codes indicates what the problem is with your stove. Based on the response to your message, it sounds like their error code is 12, one then two. It is not clear what your error code is.

There is an explanation of the error codes on the wiring diagram that comes with the stove. I found the wiring diagram for my stove taped to the inside of the kick plate. The kick plate had to be removed to find it.

my oven is not working either. the error code I get is 34. I am told by a technician that error code indicates that the computer is not recognizing that the cooling fan is operating, which is why my oven will not work.
When I try and order a new cooling fan from Thermador, the website says that it is temporarily out of stock. Obviously, other people are having the same problem I am.

Oven beeping f1 and f3

Here are the error codes for your range:

F1 Circuit board defective Replace control board F2 1. The oven temp has risen above 665F and the door is not locked or
2. The temp has risen above 965F with the door locked 1. Check oven temp in mode that failure occurred. Replace EOC (Electronic Oven Control) if above limits
2. Check 8-pin connector. Check and replace oven temperature sensor if necessary F3 Oven temperature sensor is open (above 3000 ohms) Check resistance of oven temperature sensor, check for open wiring between oven temperature sensor and control F4 Oven temperature sensor is shorted (below 500 ohms) Check resistance of oven temperature sensor, check for shorted wiring between oven temperature sensor and control F5 Internal watchdog circuit has detected a failure Defective EOC (Electronic Oven Control) F6 Shorted buttons Check push buttons and dome switches on control F8 Logic interrupted (lock motor switch sequence) Check door lock switches and wiring

Most likely problem is the oven temp. sensor. Should check around 1100 ohms at room temp. I would replace that first because it is the easiest and cheaper than an oven control.
