Why can't I getthe hazard triangle light to go off and allow my printer to print?

Each time i try to print even if I have changed the toners the trinagle with the orange light begins to flash. The print job sits in the queue but does not print. Sometimes I can over ride this by turning the printer on and off but it generally does not print. Very frustrating!! Any ideas please? Many thanks

SOURCE: Canon BJC 6000 Beeps and Power Light Flashes Orange

The 6 beeps along with the orange light stands for "Re-install BJ cartridge or replace it". You might have already fixed the problem by replacing the cartridge, and you're still stuck with the error indication. Waste Error Reset 1: Power off printer 2: Hold Resume button then press and hold POWER, the beeper will sound once. 3: Hold POWER and release RESUME 4: Press RESUME twice 5: When the indicator lights steady, press RESUME three(3) times. The indicator should be orange. 6: Press Power to set data If it still doesn't go away, try cleaning the contacts the cartridge makes with the printhead. Dip the carts contacts(dipping only the contact area) in shallow hot water for a minute, then wipe dry with a cloth that doesn't shed fiber. Also clean the contacts on the printhead using a damp cloth, maybe also some alcohol. If it still doesn't go away you have to think of replacing the printhead, or chucking it. Good luck

Hi! I am getting a "replace toner yellow" error message. The orange lightning bolt error light is on too. Do I need to replace the yellow toner to print in black and white or is there a different error...

Specifically on the Magicolor 5430DL you can print when a cartridge is empty, but this is disabled by default. To enable printing even with a toner cartridge empty.Press the Menu Button, then press the right button until the ENGINE menu appears and press the select button.Next press the right button until TONER appears and press SelectOnce in the Toner Menu the first option should be "EMPTY" if not press the right button until you see "EMPTY" and press Select. There are two options, the default is "STOP" pressing the right button once should change from STOP to CONTINUE.While the display reads "CONTINUE" press Select. You should see the message "CONTINUE is selected"You can now print even when one or more cartridges are empty. However, the lack of the cartridge's color will be noticed in any print jobs calling for that color... (Obviously)

Sharp AR-5316

The toner cartridge comes with on-chip sensor that counts the toner life. If you allow it to go empty completely that is it gives red triangle which is steady to warn that toner is near empty. You should replenish toner at this time but if you allow it to blink red triangle, that means its completely over and can't be refilled. REPLACE A NEW TONER CARTRIDGE.

Toner is not out of ink but it lights up, refusing to print

In most cases cartridges have a special chip that remembers the toner cartridge serial number an amount of pages printed from it. This means, that even though there still might be some toner left in the cartridge, the chip's counter reaches it's predefined limit and informs printer, that the toner has run out. Just like that, suddenly.
It may also be the case, that the chip loses contact with the printer's electrical terminals - try reseating the cartridge in the printer. If that doesn't help, it's time to replace it I'm afraid.
Usually the printer will inform "toner low" for some time before it becomes "toner out" and refuses to print. If you get "toner low", then it's time to purchase a new cartridge to have it ready.

Light on. Exclamation mark within a triangle. Printing fine and clear. What does tis symbol mean?

This light is indeed designed to indicate a low toner condition. Its coming on is triggered not by the actual level of toner in the cartridge, but by a software process that estimates toner use. If you are inclined to refill your own cartridges, you can use install a glass fuse in the little clip on the back of the toner cartridge that will reset the counter, and turn out the light, otherwise the light will stay on. The reset process will blow the fuse, so a new fuse is needed each time a cartridge is refilled. Leaving the light lit does not hinder the operation of the printer, so as long as there is still sufficient toner to print, the printer will operate normally.

Printerndoes not respond

I thought my printer died on me, but it turned out it was a simple paper jam. The whole printer just locked up because of a paper jam! All I had to do was open the top compartment, remove the toner and get rid of the paper jam

Replace the yellow Dev unit. This will most likely eliminate this problem. They have a life span and I am replacing then on machines less than a year old on occasion.
