It could possibly be a slow internet connection speed. Netflix posted requirements. This is a good site to check your speed. http://www.speedtest.net/ Internet Connection Speed Recommendations Below are the Internet download speed recommendations per stream for playing movies and TV shows through Netflix.

  • 0.5 Megabits per second - Required broadband connection speed
  • 1.5 Megabits per second - Recommended broadband connection speed
  • 3.0 Megabits per second - Recommended for SD quality
  • 5.0 Megabits per second - Recommended for HD quality
  • 25 Megabits per second - Recommended for Ultra HD quality
HD Video Quality
Movies and TV shows we have available in high definition will play in 720p or better with a fast enough internet connection. To watch Netflix in HD, ensure you have a HD plan, then set your video quality setting to High in the Playback Settings for your account.
Netflix Bandwidth Usage
Higher quality video uses more bandwidth than lower-quality video. If your service provider applies a bandwidth or data cap to your Internet service, you canManage Bandwidth Usage by changing the video quality settings to Low or Medium to consume less data.

SOURCE: can I receive Netflix in Maritius

Probably not. Netflix licenses the right to stream in specific regions/countries. Most likely, the app will sense that you are in a foreign country and display a message stating: "content can not be displayed to to legal restrictions/territories".

SOURCE: I have Netflix on my iPad so how do I get to watch movies on my tv?

You need a wireless or wired internet connection into the TV or another device that connects to the TV like a blu-ray player with Wi-Fi included. Once you have the bluray player installed, then you access their menu and install their apps. Each bluray player is different so you would have to answer back with a model and manufacturer to give you specifics to your model.

My series keeps stopping while I am watching it

It's buffering. Perhaps it's the bandwith. I know my little hotspot sputters out when I try to use Netflix. I watched a 2 hr movie in 5 hrs (I wish I was exaggerating). Try testing your connection speed. You want no less than 15 bps (bits per second). My hotspot (that I finally chucked) had the average speed of 1 bps. Just google "Connection speed tester" and pick which ever one you like.

Movies keep stopping

One simple thing to try which has worked for me is to stop the movie and turn off the device, then turn it back on. That usually fixes the problem. If that doesn't work try contacting Customer Service at: 1-866-579-7115

Movie keeps stopping..little circle appears with numbers%. cant finish movie

Most connection problems that prevent streaming occur on the device itself, or on the home network. In a nutshell, we will have you test the Internet connection on the device, log out and back into Netflix, restart your device, and restart your home network equipment....
