Note that some carriers disable hotspot, but you can still tether with a third party tethering app like Barnacle.

I don't know what model or version of Android your using but here is a link to steps to factory default the device. These step WILL erase everything on the tablet.

so why not copy the music to the tablet?

you need to get it dismantled as its gone into the body of the tablet

Basically, you plug in the device (camera) and you should get a popup asking what you want to do, such as import photos and videos. Here's a link with more inrmation:
