Question about Worx WG500 All-In-One Vac Mulcher Blower, Vacuum and Mulcher

1 Answer

Worx leaf blower/vac WG500 - tried to use it this season and I plug it in and I get nothing - the extension cord is good, but the Worx doesn't suck or blow. Seems like no power. Any thoughts

Used it once in early spring and it was fine. Now I try to use it this fall and I plug it in and I have nothing - extension cord works on other equipment, but when I turn on the blower/vac, nothing happens. Any thoughts?

Try cleaning the connection prongs on the leaf blower..some times corrosion builds up when not in use..also if you have a multi meter and know how to check continuity you can check the run switch...just use something like tape to hold the switch in the on position..and the with the meter in the ohlms " continuity " position touch the meter wires to the connection prongs..you meter should show continuity if not the switch is not making connection with the power supply..may need cleaned or replaced...if it shows continuity and still Does not work...need to be serviced...

Loud extension ringer used with Norstar Meridian phones will not ring. Any ideas why?

Most external loud ringers are analog and your phone is digital. You would also need a digital to analog converter and use an additional digital extension to make it work.

Emerson im90t only making half the ice cubes

Bought this ice maker November 2012. Christmas gift for my wife. Used it once a month for 6 months. Drained it every time and wiped it dry. All of a sudden it started making only 1 cube and then none. Emerson wanted it shipped back and they would replace it. Would cost probably 1/2 the cost of it to ship it back! I'm by no means a refrigeratoin tech but I'm one of those people that can fix anything. I found a solenoid in the back that reroutes the freon to cause heat so the cubes fall off. Seemed like there was a vapor lock or piece of something stuck in the lines. Compressor as running but nothing was getting cold. I took the 2 blue wires off the control PCB. I made 2 jumpers and put it to a 110 extension cord. {solenoid is 110 VAC}. While the unit was running I plugged the extension cord in and out of the wall causing the solenoid to open and close. When the solenoid was open it caused heat to the coils which would make the cubes fall off. After repeaing this procedure a few times i left it unplugged with the machine on. Lo and behold the coild get cold now and make cubes again! Could it have been a vapor lock or a clog? Put it back together and it works fine now. I think it is a vapor lock being caused by how the machine is turned off and at what point i is in the cycle. This all started when it shut down for a full basket of ice. From now on when it gets close to being full I'm goin to shut it by the power switch in the front. This causes the unit to empty the water and actuate the solenoid. Hope this helps someone else and by all means if your not somewhat competent or handy dont do this on your own!

Hitachi EC12 plug it in and nothing happens. No noises....nothing. There is oil in the compressor and pump is moving freely.

Sure the outlet you plugged into is working, do not use an extension cord.

If there is power, then there is a black box, where the cord enters the unit., in here is the pressure switch, it tells the unit to work,
unplug the unit open it and see if the plate with the spring moves freely
and then try it again, if not you probably need a new one, I would contact
the company and see if there are problems with the unit and see what they will do for repair, or they might have a better option for troubleshooting this unit.

Wireless phone extension not working on receiver. Red light and horrible sound hen connection is attempted

You need to register the unit it will work:
1.
Make sure the Base Unit is switched on and has a Green light showing.
2. Unplug everything connected to the Base Unit sockets (you will reconnect them later).
3. Plug the Extension Unit into a power point near the Base Unit, switch on the power and watch the light on the Extension Unit.
4. If the light on the Extension Unit is not glowing a steady Red then the Extension Unit must first be deregistered. Follow Step A and Step B in
the Deregistering an Extension Unit box below then try to register the Extension Unit again.
5. Plug one end of a supplied line cord into to either socket on the Base Unit and plug the other end into the extra Extension Unit
(This cord is used to do the actual registering).
6. The light on the Extension Unit will glow Red for up to a minute and then change to Green or Yellow.
7. Once you have the Green or Yellow light on the Extension Unit, unplug the line cord between the Base Unit and the Extension Unit
(You can unplug the Extension Unit – it will remember being registered).
8. Plug in everything that used to be connected to the Base Unit sockets.
9. Install the extra Extension Unit as per the Extension Unit Installation steps on the other side of this page.
