For the "AUX input" source put it in standby mode and hold menu... scroll down to "aux in" and turn it on by pushing right

Every Button Switches Between Radio and CD

Reset the radio by pressing a sharp object (pin, pen, etc.) into the small reset hole on or behind the face. If it doesn't have one, disconnect the negative cable from the battery for two minutes and reconnect. If you still have this problem, the radio is bad.

What are the two short female rca cables are that stick out of the back of my deck

Aux Audio Input. Lets say you wanted to hook up a DVD player and have it play through your radio, you could connect the audio portion of the DVD player to these inputs and put you radio on AUX and the DVD audio would play through your radio..

I cant figure out how to get an MP3 player to play through my CD player....it has 3 different audio rca jacks in the back...i try all three none worked....is there an AUX setting that need to put my cd...

what kind of cd player do you have? you must make sure that your unit has auxillary inputs. some decks dont have them. if it is set up with aux input rca's, then you just connect those to the mp3 player, then you should be able to play it in the aux mode on the deck. if you cant find it by hitting the source button, then you may not have it. I know on my sony stereo, I actually had to turn the deck off with the ignition switch on. then I press the menu button, and there I can toggle the aux mode on or off. if that doesnt work either, then you either dont have aux inputs, or the inputs are bad on the stereo, meaning its not gonna work at all.

How do I record from one tape deck to the other?

Put your "blank" in the deck with the record button, normally red button and press rec/play and pause at the same time, put your "origional" in the other deck and press play and pause at the same time, then un-pause both at the same time. Make sure that the hifi is set to tape as if you record tape to tape when listening to radio foe example, you will get a strange "mix tape" of your origional and the radio.

Sub doesnt kick on when put cd in only comes on when turn on radi

I had the same problem, but in my case it was a factory amp.

The blue wire on the deck harness is for a power antenna, and only powers up when the tuner is in use, not in the cd or aux mode. Therefore if you are using the blue wire (on the adapter or car side) to power the remote power on your amp, you would need to connect that blue wire (on the adapter or car side) to a keyed power source. This way the keyed source supplies power when the key is on, and will not cut out when the mode is changed from "Tuner" to "CD" or "AUX".

I just connected to the keyed source on my radio harness, but then, I am not running any kind of system, just the basics.

Changed car battery & Kenwood execolon kdc-X592 AUX is gone

Try pressing 'menu', scroll to "built in aux", and toggle to the 'on' position. Then the aux input should be available again. The radio losing power would have reset any internal memory causing it to go back to factory defalts. Hope this helps

Deh-p6800mp

To listen to the aux input of the stereo you must press the source button. If you are listening to the radio it will go to CD when you press it if a cd is in the cd deck, if you keep pressing it you should get to the aux input.
