The upper thread is jammed in bobbin case holder and I can't turn wheel or pull thread out. Can I do anything to loosen it?
Just open carefully the front of the machine (attention where everything has to be put back), identify the problem and try to remove the thread. Inspect the inside of the machine and the lower bobbin case for thread that may be tangled . Take it easy and you will fix it ; most of the times you we'll not need professional help. Post back to tell us where the problem was and how you fixed it.

if there is a thread in the hook area try taking a pair of needle nose
pliers to try & get the thread out, if that doesn't work then you might
think about taking the machine to a sewing machine shop to have the
machine checked since the needle will not go up & down & handwheel
won't move

Take off the presser foot
take off the needle plate
take off the bobbin plate
take out the needle,
clip bobbin free,
Examine the bobbin carrier on how it fits into place. (important)
Lift out the bobbin carrier.
Each machine is a little different. You may want to take pictures as you do each step for later reference. Use something like an old egg carton or a muffin tin to keep your parts from rolling around or getting knocked off an lost.
Have fun.
