It sounds like you are having difficulty getting a signal from your satellite receiver on your RCA ColorTrak Plus TV. There are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the problem:
Make sure that all of the cables are properly connected between the satellite receiver and the TV. Double-check that the yellow, red, and white cables are securely plugged into the correct inputs on the TV.
Check the settings on the satellite receiver to make sure that it is set to output to the correct input on the TV. Consult the user manual for your satellite receiver for instructions on how to access and change the settings.
Check the settings on the TV to make sure that it is set to the correct input. This can usually be done by pressing the "Input" or "Source" button on the TV's remote control.
Check the satellite receiver's LNB (low noise block downconverter) and make sure it's pointed at the satellite.
If the above steps don't work, try resetting both the satellite receiver and the TV to their factory default settings. This can often resolve issues with the TV not receiving a signal.
If you are still having issues, it's possible that the TV's tuner is not compatible with the satellite signal, or the TV's tuner is malfunctioning. In this case, you may need to consider getting a separate satellite TV tuner and connecting it to the TV.
If you've tried all the above and still having issues, it's best to contact the manufacturer of your satellite receiver or TV for further assistance.
It's important to note that the setup and troubleshooting process may vary depending on the specific model of your TV, satellite receiver and antenna. Also, if you are not comfortable with troubleshooting electronic devices, it's best to contact a professional technician to do the job for you.
Most Satellite receivers can be used with a UNIVERSAL Remote. You do not have use the one that came with the receiver. If you get an inexpensive Universal Remote control it comes with directions and a list of electronic devices that will work with that controller. You will have to inspect the Satellite receiver for the correct information regarding the make, model, and other details. Write them down on a pad and keep this information for setting up Remote.
After digging around for awhile, the only onfo I could gather was that teh D12 uses the same codes as the D10 & D11, but could not get those codes, I am still looking around and will post any other info I may aquire. I would also suggest re-trying any codes for echostar. I can tell you this as I sell that equipment in my market and echostar provides the equipment and support for techs, installers, and retailers.
Anyway Good Luck for now
I had a similar problem, and Garmin recommended that I reset the user data by holding "Power" and "Esc" when you turn on the unit. I think it remedied my problem to some extent. However, note that this will indeed delete all of your waypoints and other data, so be sure to back them up somehow (even if it means manually writing down the waypoint coordinates and re-entering them later) if you don't want to lose them. Good luck.
