It has a picture but it is jumping what do you think could be wrong with it?

when you jump a car the wrong way you can severely damage your cars computer system but you probably got lucky and just killed the cells in the battery get your self a new battery.

It takes time to charge the battery. Maybe you have an old battery, replace it.

think you need a new radio i suspect you put the jump leads on the wrong way around

I think you need the convergence I.C.s there are 2 of them, (STK392-110 I think), you will need to be able to solder.

this site has proper belt routing pictures for several brands maytag included might be helpful the only other thing i can think of the idler may be worn out or bent or drum may be tight not turning properly should turn freely with belt loose from inside dryer
should be able to push vanes and rotate drum easily

It is EMI ... electromagnetic interference...

Do you carry your cellphone when this happens? Maybe your iPod?... could also be static charge on your clothes (not likely, but possible)... like wearing sox on a carpet...

see ur proplem is u hit up or down or previous to much and it thinks ur still pressing it if u have a bos just turn it around and hit reset beleive me its happened before

If this jumping is accompanied by a sharp snapping sound, it may be the high voltage circuit discharging to chassis. Leakage can cause the jumping and a discharge can momentarily blank the picture.

If you want to try a 'cleaning cure,' I suggest you pull the plug (not just turn it off) for several hours, preferably overnight. Sets of this size can carry enough static charge to punch a hole through your thumb if you get careless.
Remove the rear housing (shouldn't be more than 6-8 screws) and using a clean paintbrush, and possibly a vacuum to **** up the dust, clean it well and pay special attention to the area around a largish misshapen black plastic object bigger than most anything else and connected to the back of the picture tube via a fairly thick cable.
