I have an older Black and Decker Spacemaker (ODC440) coffee maker. It has been working fine, then it just quit. No digital readout..no power to the appliance. It is not the outlet. All mechanical parts seem fine. do you know what might have gone out on it? There are no electrical replacement parts for sale for the coffeemaker.
I cannot begin to guess without looking at the machine, but, having torn these things apart before, I can tell you the two things that "break " most often.
1) The most common break is the electrical cord immediately inside the machine where you cannot see it until you have taken the machine apart.
A new cord would fix that.
2) Second most common is the electrical switch itself, where you turn it on.
God bless your efforts.

the concept still applies. the heating element is usually dual functional. heating the water then keeping the plate warm.

You can find them on ebay from time to time. One went for $25 last week and there's one there now for $50, which is steep for a used unit, but if that's all that will fit then it's worth the price. A reviewer on another site suggested second hand stores as being a good source for these as well. Good luck!
