Memorex TV with build in DVD player is stuck on video mode.

The Roku will never operate from the charter remote. The DVD player might.

Sounds like the input board on the tv fried. (45-65$ fix if that's it)

Try the same two devices on different inputs , ie change from hdmi to component , or just use hdmi 2 instead of one, you get the idea.

Make sure the devices dont work on other inputs on the tv.

Then take a different device , like a 3rd dvd player and try it.

If nothing works in that input but works in other inputs the tv input board might (likely) need replacing.

If the third fresh device does work in that input , it is both dvd players or the cable you are using. (try to use a different cable in the tests than the one you have already used. )

Use the number buttons to enter thecodes for your Memorex MVD2022 DVD Player; here some of the codes we currently have: 549, 554, 566, 789, 516, and 533.Press the pound (#) button after code has been entered. To check that the code works try several differentfunctions on the remote to make sure it will properly operate the DVD player. Keep inmind that some codes may not be compatible with your equipment. If this is thecase, please try the other codes listed for that device until you find one thatis compatible with your equipment.

Just bought the Memorex MVUC821 & the DVD Player will not open using the remote or front panel button!!!

You need to get an RF modulator if you want to connect to the antenna input on the back of the TV set. You can use the composite output of the Memorex - the yellow cable output - and connect to the video input on the front of the TV, and use the red or white output from the DVD to connect to the audio input on the front of the TV. You will have to press the 'game' button on the remote to select the front audio/video inputs.

Make sure that there are no discs in the player.

1. Turn it on
2. Press "Setup" on the remote
3. Press the down button twice on the remote
4. Press the right button once on the remote
5. Press the up button once on the remote
6. Press "Ok" on the remote

You should now be back into interlace mode.

Make sure to switch the TV's tuner mode to Video or Aux mode.
You can change the mode using the original TV remote or directly from the TV's control panel.

Again, tuner mode picks up all live broadcast airwaves and Video or Auxillary mode displays what is inputed into the TV via second device..

make sure that your remote is on the tv cotrle mode rather than the dvd control mode

All you need is to press the input select button on the remote to change between the tv and the video inputs.
