Had good volume in other room. very little since moving.

You are probably using a cable box that has a lower audio output level. If thats the case have the cable company fix it.

This sounds like the unit is expecting component video input (RGB) rather than composite (yel). Check the settings on the set. The power cord makes no difference.

Get a voltage meter and see if you have 110-120volts ac at the outlet. If the lights and/or a bathroom fan have any feedback they could lower the voltage to your TV and it may have a low voltage safety relay that turns off the TV when low voltage is present. This happens in older homes. If this home is older this little problem may be telling you that the wiring in your home is old and in need of replacement. You do not want a fire.

tSounds like you have a PIP window open. Is everything else black excpet for that small "internet box?"

It has internal speakers that need to be turned back on and the MENU is not user friendly. OUTPUT SELECT should be set to FIXED (not VARIABLE) and this should turn your internal speakers back on.
