I'm trying to use the reverse flow hole on my Miele s712 to blow up an air mattres. None of my fitting appear to fit so I can use the hose. Is there something I'm missing? Is there a trick of the trade? Or am i missing some gear. It's new, out of the box but I just can't get the hose onto the reverse flow. The Poduct is a Miele S712 vacuum dispite what this system has allowed me to enter. ; )
It looks just like the one in the photo above (cannister!). There is a reverse flow hole under the flap where the attachments go but nothing will fit into it.It looks just like the one in the photo above (cannister!). There is almost certainly too much resistance somewhere in the machine's air flow. It could be that the filter (if fitted) needs a clean (or even replacing) or the bag/dust reservoir are full. If all ok, check that none of the tubes are blocked. (The air is being forced out of the relief channel due to resistance in the normal 'through flow' of air.)
you have got dust in the micro switch and it is not latching on, if you look at this and clean it, that will solve your problem, however blowing the motir has probably wrecked the motor bearings.
All three are connected to the control valve assembly.
The long one goes through the hole in the bag container and to the door and inside.
One goes to the bottom of the bag container.
The last one goes to...I can't remember right off. Check areas it will reach for the nipple it fits on.
That is the wrong filter - the 50 series only fits Miele S4000 and S5000 models.
The filter you need for the 700 is the Miele SF-AAC-30

Under the download section is the owners manual. This is for the same series Miele that you have so this manual will have most everything you need to know. The black filter is a charcoal filter, this is good if you want to control the odor but don't have allergies. If you have allergies you might wont to get a HEPA filter. I would recommend changing the filter every 6 months to a year. You need to use the empty filter when you want to use it as a blower. The hose will not fit into the opening with the HEPA or charcoal filter in place. I hope this helps.
This is a problem with the hose, and unfortunately it will require replacement of the entire assembly.
The SES-125 hoses produced in the general vicinity of late 2002 had a tendency to start building up static and kicking the motor off after a few years. The problem was rectified, and the more current hoses do not have this problem.
Head to your friendly neighborhood Miele dealer and get a new hose, and this problem will not occur again.
The Kirby air flow can be reversed to become a blower (not pump).
This is ideal for blowing up low pressure items such as air beds etc.
Take off the complete bag assembly by twisting at the bottom and unclip at the top.
Fit the flexible hose to where the bag attached, align the arrows and twist fully until located.
Remove the front brush assembly, lift the front head light flap, detach the belt by twisting the square knob to the red position (off). un-clip the front assembly.
Your kirby should be supplied with a box type attachment (air intake guard) that fits on the front covering the motor spindle and making the safety switch.
Once fitted your kirby should now blow.

is it an upright or a cannister?
