Fault with the main power supply regulator board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.
Tries tv unplug,replug it back like about an hour later by letting the tv resetting itself back to the factory setting.The tv now should be working again,if not the tv still have the same problems.Mean the tv power supply board it is the causes and the problems.The tv power supply board that the board where the tv power a/c cord plug into it.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole new refurbish tv power supply board for the replacement.
I have found that the power supply is usually good, it's the other boards that tell it to shut down within a second. There are input called Vsego and VSago that tell the power supply to stay on.
I finally got information from the repair shop. Apparently it is the
upper and lower panel drive. The parts are supposedly not more than a
couple hundred dollars, though I'll let you know when I get the bill. I
do want to say that Hitachi was great when I called them. Even though
my plasma is out of warranty by a few months, they agreed to pay for
parts if I pay for labor. That just might keep me buying Hitachi
products despite the issues I've had with my 2 plasmas.
Have audio? I turned off my speakers so I couldn't tell. Blue light? Does it blink twice then stay solid? They went through the 2 large panels and power supply and couldn't get it to work. Solution was plasma panel was shot. $3000 bill.
I'm waiting to hear from others if it was one of the smaller boards around the edges as I have a giant piece of metal in my basement that I get to dispose of. My sony 52" should be here tomorrow.
