No reset button, unplug it, remove the base and check the motor for continuity. If motor is open circuit check the individual field windings, there is a fuse on one if them under the insulation under the one with the metal clip around it. You can replace the fuse or bypass it. It is tricky and not for someone with no electrical clues.

Same thing happened to me. Opened it up and along the red wire to the motor is a bass fuse. Went to the hardware store and then I replaced it. Works fine.

SOURCE: how to make a smoothie with my bamix handheld blender

That wonderful little stick is all you need, I sure love mine! Make sure your Mixing cup is larger than the one supplied and remember to pump up and down vigorously as you blend. Keep swirling the bottom to make sure everything got picked up and blended. You can also make powdered salt,(great for french fries) powdered sugar, Dried garlic can be made into your own freshest garlic powder (great for spaghetti and pizza). peanut butter, apple butter and Whipped cream. I also use mine to make a crazy Jello only treat that tastes like sherbet, ice cream and Jello just by blending Jello and Ice cubes. Then I chill right away after pouring it into small 3 inch glasses.

SOURCE: I have a Vita Mix 3600. I was making a fruit

Yes that is strange, if you let it cool down and try it again with pushing the re-set button and still does not work, try plugging it into a different outlet. Find something in your place that you know outlet is working, lamp, toaster you know. If does work in another out let, then you of course griped that breaker. Then check your breaker box to see what breaker is tripped, and switch it back on, might just of had a power surge based on putting on reverse. If that don't work, I suppose possibly something in motor or switch went out. Please let me know, if it works, I will take a banana smoothie LOL

What is the best blender for making smoothies with frozen fruit?

This looks Spammy, but the answer is Vitamix.

Yogurt or liquid first and fruit on top and let rip!

A blender is the only machine in your kitchen that can produce a beverage from chunks of ice and fruit in less than 60 seconds. And no other blender we've tested since 2012 can reliably make silky soups, spoon-thick smoothies, and stable emulsifications like the Vitamix 5200. Yes, this model is pricey, but we think its powerful motor, nuanced controls, and long-lasting reliability make it worth the investment.

I have a B to B 'Smoothie Signature' with a leaking and loose fitting shaft bearing. Can I get it apart and replace or tighten something, or do I need the entire container base?

Here is a link to all of the replacement parts available for a smoothie signature: http://westbend.com/support/replacement-parts/smoothie-makers/sa5red-smoothie-maker-signature.html

I am not sure what you mean by shaft bearing, but if it is not on this list, it is not available.

Thank you,
