same thing happened to me....this is **** me off...i had the chocolate touch a few months ago too...about 6...and the screen randomly froze...i have been lookin thru the internet and noone has an answer...this is **** me off...i take care of this fone and it just randomly brakes every 6 months? wtf...this is the third post that has said the same thing and i promise when i go to the verison store tomoro they will try to blame it on me...

Does it have an after market plastic cover? If so they sometimes touch one part of the screen making it non responsive. On a day it does work try recalibrating the screen.

u need a new phoen once the touch screen stops workin uneed a new phone yes thats the fault with touch screen fones or u can use teh navigations keys

well i have a lg vu and all u gotta do is look on the side of ur fone...there should be sum side buttons...push the first side button and it should have the camera icon on it and there ya go

I had the same problem (mine would work well with the hands free but not in regular mode).

I called customer service and they made me go through their routine test of turning off and turning it back on while they sent a reset signal. It still didn't work. (You will have to call from a different phone in order to move beyond this stage, I used skype). Then after going through a couple of other customer service people they agreed to send me a replacement phone.

They send only refurbished fones for replacement orders and the camera did not work in it. So I had to get it changed as well, and the third one has problems with the touch screen while saving new names to the address book. I tried arguing with them that my new phone was less than a month old and so they should give me a new phone and not a refurb but they wouldn't listen.

Solution: Just call customer service and ask for the 800 number to get a replacement fone (call from a different phone).

I have the same problem. But i had solved it. I use a lighter to burn on my viewty's touch screen, and it is working properly again within 30 secs. And ofcourse, do not burn the touch screen without a screen protector. Hope this solution would help.

Blank screens were a common problem. LG found a new manufacturer for their screens and it's no longer the case.

Go to your verizon corp store and see about replacements .. If they have a UME36 transfer machine then they MAY be able to save your pix and videos
